Well I was thinking for my first 1000pt Cron list:
Lord w/ resurrection orb, phylactery, war scythe
5 scarab swarms
Phase out a 9
997 total pts
The only concern I have is, am I taking to many warriors for a 1000 pt game. Also I will be playing nids probably so should I drop a set of warriors for a set of flayed ones??
drop the scarb swarms, and wraiths unless ur getting 3 wraiths. Flayed ones are a good addition to. Other then that, doesnt seem to bad.

<span style='color:red'>Blood God's Initiate</span></span>
Why drop the swarms?? They move as jetbikes and are great for tieing up enemies to keep me out of CC!
swarms just tuff enough in cc but i defantly like the high numbers of warriors they are essentisal to any necro army... dont leave home without them.
The stars themselves once lived and died at our command, and yet you still dare oppose our will
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to there level and beat you with experiance
Any other opinions out there??
Lord; destroyer body; orb; warscythe
immortals (amongst the best units in the game)
heavy destroyers (1-2 in a little list, just to bust armour)
as many warriors as you can fit.
The lord benefits most from destroyer body in small lists IMO. No instakill and move fast where the orb (or scythe) is needed. If a walker lord gets hit with a lascannon = no orb (fear power weapons, battle cannon pie plates etc) and no warscythe = you need lots of 6's.
Immortals. Just do the maths. 10 = 20 S5 shots. Mmmmm. These are even better if you have a VoD but it's too expensive in 1000pts.
Heavy destroyers are useful as tank busting snipers. If you know you're facing mostly troops then take light destroyers.
Taking lots of warriors is simple. Lots of shots = more 6's = yipee! And of course reduced phase out.
In a small list, don't be seduced by the fancy troops eg wraiths. A good solid core of warriors supported by immortals is essential. Then you need to deal with armor. For bigger lists go nuts, but IMO this is great for small battles.
Vs Nids usually you'll face swarms of small stuff first. Lots of warriors = 1-2 rounds of little bug shooting for you. You'll kill zillions, but you'll need to. Then focus on the HT or warriors to get rid of synapse. Again, lots of Nec warrior = more chance to get some 6's and force lots of saves. Multiple shots is the best tactic vs tough creatures rather than a few strong shots. If your heavy destroyer is still alive, that's a bonus. Then concentrate on the slower stuff like fexe's. One problem is that he may have biovores hidden right up the back. These are prime targets for your lord and HD after the HQ is dealt with providing they don't bomb you off the planet!
Good luck and have fun!
