    I know theres other races that might have selective units that are deadly in HtH, but id say, out of the melee based races, (orks and tyranids) Which do you think holds the title at the end of the day as 'best' in CC.

    Well as a tyranid player I am bound to go for the tyranids, dont get me wrong i think orks are amazing, but i think tyranids have more of a kick when it comes to CC with units like genestealers, hive tyrants carnifexs, any mutation with rending claws! orks are more about mobbing up and swarming people, much like tyranbids actually, but I believe tyranids just have a slight advantage with their specialist CC units.

    Anyway personally, as a tyranid player, I would charge an ork army (ofcourse firing a few shots off too very willingly) but I would be careful charging a DE army, unless I had a hell load of catalyst psychic powers and could fire off several rounds of spine fist shots with my spinegaunts....

    Just my opinion though...

    So your acually scared of DE in CC? i havent ever really seen DE play lol, im not too familiar with them or anything, but damn- are they that vicious at CC??? Im going to be playing against nids like... 95% of the time i play, and ive been looking for a good army to play against them(i have a small tau force in the making, but i plan on having 2 armies anyway.) and DE look neat because nobody plays them lol. I hear they are extremely hard to play though... maybe they arent for me(id be willing to learn but id have to find somebody on here thats great with them to take me under his wing)

    yep they are very difficult to play, but say if you have alot of wychs in a DE army, I wouldnt assault them... and if they got first turn... they&#39;d be on me by the first assault phase. Which is why Id use catalyst or set up in cover, as the DE would be striking first.

    Anyway I mean come DE HQ can have a 2+ inv save&#33; lol my nids dont even get any lol.

    speaking from the Buggy view:

    Nids rock in CC and could whip any Ork butt that it feels like&#33; If neither side had any guns, it would be no contest between the two. but since the orks are ugly space marines, they just blow most nids dowqn before they get to the front line.

    Personally I feel Nids have better guns that orks also&#33; I mean all orks have really poor BS, nids have better. The only weapons that orks have whicha re better than tyranid weapons are the ones they "looted" from the imperials.

    This all said I love orks&#33; but tyranids are still far superior&#33;

    Hmm, desicions, desicions...

    Right, I vote Nids. I know, Im biased, but Im starting an Ork force, and a friend played against me with my own Nids. My arse was promptly handed to me on a silver platter with cherries on top.

    Genestealers are awesome, Lictors are Kewl, Tyrants are evil and Carnifexes are just plain evil *evil laugh*. However, the basic Ork is probably gonna have a chance of surviving a meeting with a Hormagaunt, because they are naturally more resillient than the spindly little Gaunts. But I still vote Nids, Genestealers dont struggle against Marines, so Orks arent going to pose a problem

    Yea, I think tyranids would win as they posses the ability to fleet of claw and they really attack in mass numbers. I am scared of them compared to orks for some reason. Tyranids are awesome in cc and I nearly considered them over my DE army.

    Oh, yea listen to them don&#39;t assault a DE army We have firepower and can assault. Our CC stuff is brutal. Charge wyches ... or a dark eldar lord and a retinue of incubis ^_^ , with 9 incubi and an archon... we can summon up to 35 power weapon attacks? Yea fear us.

    As a Ork and Nid player I must say Nids. The Tyranids are a more CC oriented army than the Orks. The green fellows are good in CC when they&#39;re in swarm position. An ork invidually isn&#39;t that good in CC. On the other side, Nids are. But you could make a badass CC Ork army like you could make a badass Nid army. All depends on the units choice and what mutations, etc...you give to your little fighters... ^_^

    agaimst orks, the humble Hormagaunts is a potent weapon as it has huge numbers of attacks when the brood charges, coupled with the fact that they are fast as hell.
