Any suggestions/comments about the following 1500 Codex: Space Marines army?
Force Commander (Power Sword, Storm Bolter, Terminator Armour).
Dreadnought (Extra Armour, Smoke Launchers, Search Light, TL Lascannon).
7 Tacticals (FG, Flamer, 1 is VS with PW and Plasma Pistol).
6 Tacticals (Missile Launcher).
6 Tacticals (Meltagun).
8 Scouts (FG. BP/CCW, 1 is VSS with PW).
7 Scouts (1 is VSS with Plasma Pistol).
8 Assault Marines (2 Plasma Pistols, 1 is VAS with MC Thunder Hammer, Purity Seals).
8 Devastators (4 Missile Launchers).
Vindicator (Extra Armour, Dozer Blades, Smoke Launchers, Search Light, HK Missile, Pintle Mounted Storm Bolter).
Overall the army looks pretty good, if a little specialized. you seem to be spending alot of points on upgrades on the vets and mainly the vindicator. My suggestion is to drop the storm bolter and HK off of it since those are points you can use for more marines and you want to fire the ordinance most of the time anyway. You may want to consider dropping the meltagun tactical squad in favor of a fuller flamer/VS squad with rhino. As it is the commander is going to be slogging across the field since he can't ride in a transport or fly with the assault squad. One thing I also found is that plasma pistols on veterans are rarely worth taking, it's another whole marine! Anyway, the list would probably do fine but could also be fine tuned a little.

personally, i dont like scouts. only use them with sniper rifles. i think you should drop one squad and use the spare points to increase your 1st tactical squad to full size and get a rhino. you really have a big squad of devastators, and most of the time, your would have 4 marines doing nothing (maybe taking damage). i agree with Brother Marius about the vindicator. keep the smoke launchers andextra armour, drop the rest. your force commander would be going nowhere in the armour he is in. i think you should drop the terminator armour. get an iron halo for inv save. the 3+ save is not that bad, and attach him to the assault sqaud or your 1st tactical squad.
overall i think its a fairly solid list, lots of numb,er, har hitters and some mobility. one coment, i think you should drop one of the squads of scouts and reinforce the marie squads, i know i always preech this but it seems that no one is getting the picture, marie squads of under 8 man just arent that effective, make your 2 6 man units into 8 man units, and add one more bolter marie to you 7 man unit

mc on a sarge is useless especialy if he dies beforwe striking back..
instead of the term armour get a jump pack to going the assault squad drop the mealta squd to get a rhino plus more rines for the other squads

The reason for the vs/vindicator upgrades is that I just got back into gaming after a few years, and the models I could find did not quite come out to 1500.
