So the Necrons are finally getting some much need TLC from GW but whos next? Any ideas?
Personally I hope its the Eldar, I love my Eldar and while they certainly aren't as broken as the Necrons were they still need a bit of loving but I'm also nervous about it. After the huge uproar I've heard from the Witch Hunters update I hope nothing like that happens to my beloved Eldar!
Not to disrespect the Witch Hunters players or codex, but it doesn't have a big following like the Eldar do. I honestly don't think GW would ever do a WD update of the Eldar codex.
I hope it's Tau. It would be nice to see 2 Xeno codex's in a row.
The Wolf time is upon us!
Rep for the Rep God! Positive for the Positive Throne!
Armies: Space Wolves, Imperial Guard, Emperors Children, Necrons, Eldar
If you look back on it a bit, there is already a lot floating around for the tau, rumor wise. Even with the rumor blackout, we would have heard something if Eldar were going to be released within the next 6 months. Also, Eldar did just get a lot of finecast releases, so that may indicate they're sticking around for a bit.
The only thing I've seen rumors for, that actually deal with army specifics and not just release dates, indicate Tau and Chaos Marines are the only armies viable soon. Though there is also a rumor that when 6 hits, all the other armies will get a buffed up FAQ so that they'll fit into 6th until their 'dex gets updated.
I heard something about Eldar possibly being the first 6th edition release, and that 6th edition, storywise anyway, is going to focus more on Eldar, Chaos and the Necrons, with the Imperium approaching the time of the Ending. However I've also heard that Eldar are on indefinite hold until GW settles some lawsuit with a 3rd party company.
I hope the thing about a FAQ for the codices when we go to 6th edition is true. I know they said they were gonna introduce flyers, so it'd be weird if things like the Vendetta and Storm Raven weren't treated as such when we finally got rules for them.
The enemy's gate is down
I had a wonderful dream that Games Workshop felt sooooo bad for turfing the Daemons with the Grey Knight codex, that the Daemons got a new codex right away. It fixed all the stupid and unnecessary rules that absolutely make Daemons not worth playing against the GK's. Then I woke up. For what it's worth I believe that it is Tau - early 2012, Chaos Legions - early to mid 2012, 6th edition rules - mid 2012 and then Eldar at the end of 2012. But you can't believe everything you hear.
