So I already got Tau and i'm working on Space Marines but I also got a full Assault on Blach Reach box meaning I got some Orks too and while I was oiginally planning on saving the Orks for later and building a Ork force aswell one of the people in my gaming group is intrested in buying the Orks instead of his Tyranids. So I was wondering if I should sell the Orks to him, and instead later build a Chaos Daemon froce, That I could also use as a Fantasy army once we start playing Fantasy again..
I love daemons and there are simply not as many people playing Daemon especially after the whole Grey Knights Warpquake thing. But I've heard rumours that Daemons are going to get a shot int he arm next year, maybe to fix the unbalance that the Grey Knights did to them. If you are thinking of going with an army that is different and you can use in Fantasy games, go with Daemons. Not to say Orks aren't any good. My buddy has a hoot playing them.
It's so hard to deside.. Orks seem like a real fun army to play.. But Daemons I can use in fantasy too, and I just love the Soul Grinder model.. And while we do have a Grey Knight player in the group he dosent realy use WarpQuake. Says he never remembers it or cares for it.
Based on what you are saying, I would invest in the Daemons. If you are in fact planning on starting up WHFB again, you've just saved yourself the cost of getting yet another army. Don't get me wrong, the Orks are great, but sometimes the "fun factor" of the Ork codex can inhibit your playing fun when something goes awry at the most inopportune time. And it will! But from a time and money stand point, I'd go Daemons.
(WH40K) Dark Eldar - (12,000pts) Sisters of Battle - (5000pts) Dark Angels -(3500pts) (WHFB) Dark Elves - (10,000pts) Beastmen - (5000pts) Empire - (3000pts) Wood Elves - (1500pts)
I desided to sell the Orks to a friend that realy wants to change army from his Tyranids and once I finish my Space Marines i'l start the Daemon army for Fantasy and 40k. ^_^
If you need help with your Daemons army, hop on over to the "Daemons" section of this forum. We would be pleased to help you.
I'd say you made a good call, you can use them in both game systems, the battleforce is fairly good, and they are a fun and unique army.

Daemons are two armies for the price of one as you rightly pointed out, being able to use the same models for both 40k/Fantasy.
There are some dark whisperings that we're heading into a 'year of chaos' with up-coming releases for CSM's, WoC on the Fantasy side, and Daemons. Hopefully this time 'round GW gives Chaos it's rightful due instead of the current fartfest of;
a) One insanely OP book that ruined an entire game. (Daemons of Chaos in 7th edition)
b) One moronically gimped, bland as feth and underpowered pile of steaming gak that is currently the poor state of CSM's
c) One well rounded book that now has a few glaring issues due to the edition change. (WoC)
It's heavily rumored that Chaos is going to be the main antagonist focus of 6th edition 40k, so odds are good that GW will jump the biggest, baddest and scariest threats to the entire galaxcy to the head of production line. (or rather, logic would at least make you think that way?!)
