I thought if starting a Luna Wolf army but im not sure if they are good or not. From what I understand Black legion were the former Luna Wolfs of Horus and when they turned, the luna wolves became the Black Legion. Basicly could you guys maybe tell me if they are Good or Chaos please, if they are chaos think you can give me some backround on them because I wanted to start a type of Chaos Space Wolf army, anywho thanks. Jebus says, "CRIPES!"!

Well its kind of hard to classify that. Technically the Luna Wolves started out as a good chapter that loved the Imperium just like all the others. Basically what happened is that Horus was slowly seduced by Chaos and started to believe that he should run the Imperium and not the Emporer. He then started recruiting many other chapters and Primarchs to go along with his plan. At the time of the Horus Heresy, to my knowledge they had the look of regular Space Marines. It wasn't until the 'coup failed and when they fled to the Eye of Terro was when they slowly become twisted and mutated. I'm not sure how you would model them. Maybe exactly like space marines, but add a few small mutations here and there, sort of give the army a look like it was slowly being corrupted. Hope that gives you some info P.S. I may be wrong on some of my fluff there, but I think that is pretty much the jist of things.

Ok... so they followed Horus and turned evil along with him I take it than? O another question, I don't know if this brakes some type of rule but does anyone know if the "Gray Hunters" Space Marine box comes with a Heavy Bolter sprue?

No it does not. I've bought a box or two of them in the past. Really the only difference betwen a regular tactical squad box and the Grey Wolves box is a bit sprue wich contains different space wolves items. No extra weapons are included. Go check out GW's online store and they show you the sprues that come with each box set.

Well I guess the question is do you just want the heavy bolters? If so I'd say you have a couple options: 1. If there are other marine players around you see if you can do some trades or simply buy any extra heavy bolter bits they might have. 2. Go to your local gaming store and see if they will order bitz for you. This may be the easiest route to take. You can order just the heavy bolters themselves and not get all the extra marine parts if you don't need them. Any respectable gaming shop should have a copy of the GW Bitz Catalog by now. Just leaf through to the Space Marine section and look under either the devastator squaf or the space wolves long fangs squad. The order number for the bitz is there, and you can find the price with that number at the end of the space marine section there. I think its $4.oo US dollars for the heavy bolter weapon and arm. 3. Go to Games Workshop's Online store and order the bitz online. Saves a bit of time, but you have to pay shipping and handling while many gaming stores will pay that price for you. Here is the website where you can actually order the bitz I believe you need: http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefr...dual&code=53-10 Hope this helps you. Good luck on your army.

if you are wanting to play Chaos Space Wolves - they already exist as the 13th Company. It's is more along the lines of the marines are taken over by the curse of the Wulfen, as opposed to chaos, but equates to pretty much the same thing. I've not played against them, and i have not played with them, but by all accounts they are superb to play with, and not a nice army to play against. They have extra rules that reg SW don't have and as such have better options. Do a search on LO for 13th company for more accurate details.

'Luna Wolves' has no connection to 'Space Wolves.' If you want a Chaotic version of the Space Wolves, then yes, 13th Company would be best. If you actually want the Luna Wolves, build a Black Legion army with no Daemons or Defilers and find out what colour their armour was before the Horus Heresy.

I know luna wolves have nothing to do with Space Wolfs, I just want to be chaos and use a Space Wolf army, I don't realy like space wolf backround. O and I'm also doing this so I can use my codex. I need to savour my mula!

Actually, that begs the question in appearance of the Luna wolves: did they have wolf pelts and stuff like space wolves had?... and the Curse of the Wulfen acts as a deterrant of the mutating effects of chaos. So 13th company are technically still loyal to the emperor and Russ, but in appearance, they look like chaos |
