    im new to the green tide view of playing.... but im throwing up my first ork army list *yay*... just need a list for playing against a variety of oponents.. let me know what you think of the FERAL ORKS!!!

    1000pt friendly feral ork boyz list!

    Hq:
    Warboss-eavy armor, bionic bonce, slugga/choppa, flashfurs/toof necklace-- 78
    5 nobs- eavy armor,necklace/furs, and slugga choppas-- 165


    Troops:
    20 madboyz-1 pigdok with 3 styboyz and rokkit launcha--170

    20 madboyz-1 pigdok with 3 styboyz and rokkit launcha--170

    20 madboyz- 1 pigdok with 3 styboyz and rokkit launcha--170

    25 grotz--75

    Heavy Support:
    BIG A$$ squiggoth-3 kannons-- 180

    total: 1008
    total minis:95

    let me know what anyone thinks...any suggestions are most appreciated, seeing as im new to the Ork world you can maybe give me some pointers on this list?

    Typical Feral list. Most are though. Madboyz are a great choice and it looks preety good.... if you dont get evil rolls and the boyz fight eachother.


    EDIT: Do you have a Slaver for the grotz?

    Yay, another feral ork player&#33; (I guess I should have specified what kind of orks I play in my signature). Anyway here&#39;s my thoughts.........

    Not bad, but if you drop the Nobz you could fit in another entire squad of Madboyz. Afterall it&#39;s the madboyz that will do a lot of the dirty work. You could also tone down some of the extra wargear on your boss should you need to shave some points.

    I definitly like the pigdoks and styboyz with each squad, whatever you do KEEP THOSE&#33; IMO, I&#39;d drop the Rokkit launchas, and I say that from experience. The "disturbed" rolls will limit your shooting heavily, not to mention you&#39;ll still need a 5 to hit. when I used rokkits with my squad ussually I&#39;d only be able to fire them once or twice a game and they never really caused any damage.

    I gave my squiggoth T-L rokkit Launchas. They tend to hit a ton more than rokkits with your boyz would. All in all though, not bad. In 1,000 points, horde armies definitly have the advantage. In fact I&#39;m using my feral orks in the next tourny that just happens to also be at 1,000 pts. If it would help, I can show you my list to compare it to.

    Feral roks in general are just plain fun, as they can be quite "random" in their actions; which gives the army tons of character. I hope this helped a little.......

    thanks guys

    no i didnt add a slaver to the grots...should i?

    the rokkits are there cause (by looking at the list) thats the only anti tank i had in the list. if i dropped them what would i take in place? reason i wanted them is cause pig dokky is BS 3...so more chance of fragging a tank... but the disturbed rolls might screw up the shooting in general..

    the squiggy was decked for flexiblility...able to blow up stuff with the blasts..or the shells...

    losing the nobz and taking another unit of madboyz? with 4 units of them in the army would that be borderline cheesy?

    i still need help with that stuff^...any suggestions for what to do for anti tank? thats my big concern... i think anti infantry is covered by the S*** load of boyz i have out there

    keep the help coming guys...thanks a ton already

    Ah, I didn&#39;t know the Launcha&#39;s were on the pidok, that makes total sense keep them&#33; Wow, I didn&#39;t even think about doing that&#33; :lol: With that in mind then, the Kanons fit the squiggoth (i didn&#39;t have rokkits on my doks so that&#39;s why I added the laucjas onto the goth).

    4 squads of madboyz wouldn&#39;t be cheesy IMO. It is a horde army afterall, and it should be expected that you show up with......ahem....A HORDE&#33;

    I say add the 4th Madboyz squad and it should be in top shape......most likely better than mine even&#33;

    where can i make room in the list for the slaver?

    i switched out 7 points of gear from the boss...and the nobz...to put a 4th unit of madboyz... and im still at my top.... where can i move some stuff to fit in the slaver?

    What exactly did you drop from the Boss?

    Reason being, I looked my latest version of the feral ork list from Chapter Approved (the one w/ the Defiler on the cover) and I didn&#39;t see Bionic Bonce listed as a wargear option for him. So, if you haven&#39;t already taken that off (which I bet you did) try that. The other option is to either lose 3 more Grots (22 isn&#39;t that far off from 25), drop one of the Rokkit Launchas off one of the Doks (having 3 out of 4 still is good), or drop one of the squigoth guns down from a Kannon to a Rokkit Laucha or Big Shoota.

    I hope this helps a bit, and gives you a few ideas of some of your options for fitting in the much needed slaver. Let us know what you come up with&#33;

    your right the bionic bonce isnt in there...and thats why i dropped it lol..sorry it was an oversight... i also dropped the furs.. reducing him down 7pts.

    ive decided to pinch one of the kannons off the squiggy into a twin-rokkit number...it should still be ok for shooting... unfortunately i lose a blast shot

    do you think dropping 3 more grotz is a better idea?

    theres no way im dropping the rokkits off the pigdoks...not even one of them... i have to abuse that BS 3 when ever i can..as much as i can.... just using sluggas out the wazoo and HITTING is fun to be had&#33;

    Now the list is perfect IMO. I just suggested the drop of one of the Launchas from the Pigdok as just another alternitive, I KNEW you wouldn&#39;t do that&#33;

    Dropping off a Kannon wasn&#39;t such a bad idea, as the T-L Rokkit Launcha will still be a good tank buster with a good chance to hit. Losing the 3 grots wouldn&#39;t be a bad idea though. It&#39;s your call. Like I said before, 22 isn&#39;t THAT far off from 25 and after all, they&#39;re mostly for screening to get the invulnerable save anyway&#33; Do whatever fits your play style best&#33;
