    Sorry double post i wish you could delete old posts (same thing in Tau section sorry for inconveniance)

    Truth be told its actually 2 armies (i always seem to do 2 when trying new things to test all possibilities)

    1st army

    Shas'o plasma rifle & missile pod, multi-tracker, HW target Lock 117 pts

    1 Crisis suit burst cannon & missile pod, multi-tracker 59 pts

    1 Crisis suit burst cannon & plasma rifle, multi-tracker 61 pts

    4 stealth suits bonded
    1 shas'vre HW drone controller (2 gun drones) 192 pts

    this army i intended to put the shas'o with the gun drones for fodder (as they can take more hits and also have jet packs) then id use my stealth suits (drones are for pinning power), shas'o (and drones) and my crisis suits to pot shot the enemy as they approach my forward deployed FWs and when they got too near id hop in the DFs and scoot on out my broadsides and hammer head would blast the enemy tanks apart as well as my pathfinders would be used for shooting high armor troops (and if i set up my DFs right, they can shoot the side armor with the seeker missiles)
    (I probably dont have enough FWs for this to be a good Tau army as compared to other army with minimum 3 FW units)

    2nd army (oi this be turning into a long post (sorry bout that))

    1 Crisis Suit Missile pods & Plasma rifles, Multi-trackers 65 pts

    this army is more based around holding my table edge as the ethereal will (hopefully) keep my FWs from fleeing, my kroot hold off a charge (or 2) crisis suit will potshot high armor infantry and the broadsides and Hammerheads take caare of tanks (and later infantry)

    Stick to firelance combo on the suits (plasma/pod)

    FW don't need transport, since htey will outrange any troop in the game.

    make your unit of stealth suits 6 members.

    the second list is much better IMO, but please don't bother giving equipment to an ethereal, i'll die in CC anyway.

    The only problem I see with your army is that you have a lot of highly visable targets.

    Of course I normally play against IG so it makes that a large problem.
    Mentor of Space Marine Commanders far and wide.

    Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:

    1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant

    2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers

    3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC

    In that list there isn't an ethereal to keep these Cowards from running of the board... and the suits dont have the advantage of the subamunition wich is the best Vs guards.
