i have 1 tactic
1 : stand there and unload a hail of bolter fire and when they get near my BA's use waves of attacks in cc
anyone no any othjer good tactics against nids playin with BA
anyways here is my army list i had planned dunno if it any good or not
Master of Sancicity
w/ atrificier armor and plasma pistol and jump pack also with death company
w/ Storm Bolter, Purity Seals, Fear of the Darkness to replace Storm of the Emperor's Wrath; Jump Pack.
BA Veteran Assault squad
w/ 9 marines all with bp/ccw
2 x Tactical Squad
w/ 10 Marines, Heavy Bolter; Plasma Gun; Vet Serg w/ power weapon and plasma pistol
w/ 10 Marines; Missile Launcher; Flamer; Vet Serg w/ power weapon and plasma pistol
Space Marine Scout Squad
w/ 10 Scouts; 8 Sniper Rifles; 1 Heavy Bolter, 1 sergeant
w/Heavy Bolter Sponsons, smoke launchers
w/ assault cannon and ccw
any other suggestions or different squads
i havent added the points up so yeah i dunno what it equals
BA Forever!!!! For Sanguinus
It isnt a bad list and tactics, there are a few tweaks I would make around wargear and I would probably be desperate to get a whirlwind in there,
I would be wary of the vetrans, do you really need them? I would also shrink the squad size and have more squads (more death company?)
Everything you have been told is a lie!
no fire power
6x5 man squad with heavy bolter
and three baal preds
9 ls t
disonour before death
i played with this list and shredded him
disonour before death
I have 2 suggestions.
1) Whirlwinds: Every single time I have played against Nids my oponent has always groaned when I placed my whirlwind.
2) Unless you have a way to kill the tyrant, morale effects (like fear of darkness) are nearlly useless. Damn Synapse. Against Nids I would say use the flaming construct.
Mentor of Space Marine Commanders far and wide.
Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:
1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant
2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers
3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
First your librarian gets Quickening, just give him a pair of lighning claws they work pretty well vs nids.
don't bother putting anything on your vets for tactical sqauds they will going the death company and get then for free.
hEavy bolters and flamers in every units and maybe 2 missile laucnhers for tyrant guards and after template to swarms.
Arteficer armour is a wast of 20 points, that chap will go toe to toe with the tyrant, thats no saves for you anyway.
CC scouts will do best to flank gaunts or bolters will do better as well , wound on 3+ or 4+ and no saves.
with your heavy s take out the extre dreadnought and but in a fast atack
land speaser weath assult cannon for taking out the little bugs
if u need ane other advice hear is my e mail
Against 'Nids I would take 3 Landspeeder Tornados (thats 21 shots per turn averaging 12 dead gaunts! and as many Baal's as you have, obviously up to 3.
I wouldn't bother with a librarian, if you want another HQ take another Chaplain (loads more death company).
Also I'd split the scout and tacticle squads into 2 so you can get more death company and have more heavy bolters/missile launchers (you might want to consider some lascannons for killing zoanthropes, and carnifexes and tyrants with extended carapace (2+ saves))
Dreadnaughts are Elites by the way, not heavy support.
Actually Wizard, in a BA list, regular dreds ARE heavy support.
