Its the usual story. Sign on LO, troll the off-topic threads, then blow right past every other forum to get to your armies forum to see whats going on. Or whats not going on. Threads and threads and threads posting army lists asking for advice. Every time an army list is posted just about every person who plays that army will give an account of their style of play, then critisize the army list in question for not conforming to their Ideas. After a few pages of posts like this some one sensibly points out that the army list is infact fine the way it was origionally. They point out the army lists faults, and its strengths and then attempt to predict the best possible deployment and style of play finnally asking "Is that how you want to play your game?" Thats the conclusion for every army list. Each and every one has its strengths, its weaknesses, which will favor one style of play and deployment over all the others. There is no such thing as a "point-sink" or useless unit. To this affect every army list ever posted has been an extremely repetative experiance. Thats why only 2 of the 60 threads I have ever started are army lists(one of which was submitted for discussion based on its success, the other submitted because it presented a robust interpretation of a giving theme). When some one posts an army list I see the points and numbers and just want to shoot myself. I see poorly written C code that looks bettern than many of the army lists I see. After the agonizing feat of deciffering a stone tablet filled with hiroglyphs that would apear cryptic even to the ancient Egyptians, the only thing left is to suffer through every ones stories of how each and every unit in the army list had failed or prospered. Finnally, if its not me, and often it is not, then SOME ONE was sensible to conclude what should have been said from the begginning: "This is how to play that army list, is that what you wanted?" Its fine when that is posted in the garbage dump that is called the army-list forum, but it affends the senses to even see a tittle like "1500 pts wh: wut joo think?" in any other forum. This thread is a plee, to every one, to stop posting army lists in any section but the army-list forum!

Precisely! And when you do, use spaces and don't be afraid of a long message, it makes it readable that way. If you do do one, spelling and grammar please, and it's points cost. True Example: so i liek shud i tek d deceva or d nittbrigger? Do not make that mistake. Please.

hear hear  nothing wrong with asking for advice...but in the right place and asking the right questions is essential 'how could i improve this list to maximise my close combat effciency without losing too much fire power?' would be a sensible question rather than 'what should i do to this to make it better?'
