there are three main ordos that we can play as. prdo malleus(daemonhunters), ordo hereticus(witch hunters), and the ordo xenos(alien fighters)

since none of them are a shooty army, they generally have close courters weaponry.

as far as i know, they each need to have allies that can defend their big weakness.

yes i know that but as far as the board game goes, they count as allies. despite the fact that they are more like slaves with guns...

... An odd way of looking at it, reever...

But yeah if you want some shootyness, Azn, take Inducted IG, i never bother with allied marines. I don't wanna give up grey knights and sisters just to make a low option marine army.
An exorcist is the best shooty thing they have, along with LR transports, but they have no cheap long range stuff...
Some converted IG made to look all inquisitory, will add some Fire to your army, and not look out of place.
But Witch hunters have a similar Firepower to armies such as Eldar, Crons, DE. Its easy to look at Tau and IG and think of all the other armies as Close quarter armies...

Against tanks;
An exorcist
Or a GK dreadnought
Immolators are darn good against tanks at close range.
But exorcists have a ap1 and a potentially good number of shots, with a high strength.
Depending on which list you are using, and which are your allies. (You can't have HS allies)
