Greetings, everyone. Hope I'm not missing another area of the forums that answers what I'm about to ask; I did look around, but if I'm repeating anything, please forgive me.

I have a 750 point Biel-Tan Eldar Army and am going up primarily against my friend's Ork army (he prefers Speed Freeks). We have a third fellow who is interested in joining. He's a very casual player and probably wouldn't do well to be asked to read a lot of codices or rule books. He'd be a great addition to the games we play, but learning the whole thing would be a serious disincentive to him.

Instead, I'd like to assemble a 750 point vanilla marine army for him. I have all the models I need to do it. I'd assemble it, finish painting them (I've already mostly completed them) and then hand the army to him with a printed sheet explaining every unit's abilities and equipment.

So the question I have is: I got 750 points for a Space Marines army. What do I do with it? I don't have any Forgeworld/Armorcast stuff, but I have pretty much everything in the Games Workshop list, so go ahead and give me exactly what you think. Keep in mind: This army has to keep its head above water against Biel Tan and Speed Freeks.

Much thanks in advance to you all!

    Jowi

im my opinion, you're going to need quite a few infantry squads for those armies, boltguns will chop down the orks and few fragile aspect warriors, and chuck in some anti-infantry weapons in a Dev squad, possibly missile launchers (3 or 4 frag missiles work well against ork mobs, trust me) and plasma cannons (whereas 3 or 4 PC's work even better against anything)

and maybe a small tank, Whirly or Vindi for a bit of cover fire

small 5 man HQ, prob chaplain..

    4 x 5 tactical

    dev squad

    some tank

if u got points left over maybe think of another 5 man tactical or scouts, anyway good luck

Against Orks: Bolters, Whirlwinds, Tactical Squads, Frag Missiles, Attack Bikes (with Heavy Bolters)
Against Beil-tan: Slightly Heavier Weaponry, Vindicators, Plasma Cannons, Heavy Flamers, Auto/Assault cannons

For a 750 point army i would suggest using lots of weapons that kill without armour saves.

Having weapons in small armies that aloow armour saves are very weak, You bearly ever get kills.

I have this experiance from a game i played using Blood Angels i had t tacticle, land speeder and an assult squad, i bearly got any kills, any that i did get totally
was becuse of the roll of the dice.

So i suggest using plasam pistols and melta guns, power weapons........
they arent that more expensive in points but they garrunti kills.

    Hope this advive is handy
