    i would suggest getting rid of the devilfish and pathfinders and using the points to put your current fire warrior squads up to 10 men each and add another 2 more squads both having 12 fire warriors

    my maths may be wrong

    hope this helps

    let me know what you think

    If I build the rest of my FW then I can make 4 squads of 9+bonding with the points from the pathfinders, but I never really found FW to be that good, most of the game is played with the suits and heavies with me, so pathfinders help that.

    edit: forgot to take away the S-missles, so that's 30 more points

    well its your army so your decision i just fought 30 men is alot better than 8 with a tank. i think the devilfish is a complete waste of points put you need one for pathfinders (i think). if you dont want fire warriors then try and get some pathfinders with railrifles they could be useful against marines.

    lose one hammerhead. i used to play a stationary tau force with 2 hammerheads, it is a lot more fun if you go for a mobile force (devilfish for fws, some stealths, and an extra suit). I don't mean to offend, but "stand and shoot" tau armies are boring and predictable :ph34r:

    What's so good about using Dfish for the FW? they can only shoot 12" (or 18" with PC) after getting out.

    As for the tank, I've found it to be right up there with the suits in killing power, great for taking out large chunk of armies with low saves (like Eldar or 'nids), I haven't tried the IC yet but I'd think they'd be great vr. SM.

    Also I got a Commander Farsight modal and tried him yesterday, he was awesome, I could beat people in HtH! So I'm probably going to be using him when I can, which means only 1 hammerhead anyway.

    BTW about the HQ, at my league, for tie-breakers, we have a "HQ battle" where you take your HQ from your list, as is, and HtH it vr. the other guy's HQ, kinda unfair (with me being Tau) but I think it's a good list anyway.

    @hamster:
    I'm a little confused by this statement, as hammerheads would seem to make a tau force more, not less mobile.

    @viper: The way you notated your bodyguard unit kinda confused me :blink:, but it looks pretty good.

    We just take our HQ's and battle them in HtH for tie-breaker games, so I wanted to max my HQ out, hence the body-guards (where-as I normally just keep a IC un-grouped and use the IC rules so he can't be targeted)
