My 500 point Salamander Space Marine army consists of
Chaplain with mastercrafted thunder hammer 80 pts
2 Dreadnoughts each with twin linked lascannons and powerfist stormbolter
2 tactical squads(5 man)
2 Missile launchers
I reckon 2 Dreadnoughts is good in small armies cos many people don’t use heavy support stuff in 500 point armies (Broadside, Devastators, etc, etc)
Any opinions are welcome
Against normal people, yes this army can be very usefull, BUT!!! not against me because I never get in fight without my lasconnon guys
But you're right, in small battle, people never feild very heavy weapon
Maybe you should give Heavy Plasma ou Heavy Bolters to your dready, Lascannon is against tank, not infantry and you've just said it, normal people don't feild tank in small battle
Two words for you melta guns, 18'' range st 8 +d6 ap over 9'' under this its st 8 +2d6 ap, 2-3 of these in the hands of high WS troops to say nothing of charictersand good buy to most of your army,
in small games like this think of them as being a infitesimle part of the whole battle so id take the cheapest hq allowed, no elites mostly troops Include a razorback here if it makes you feel any better and either a single fast attack choice OR a single heavy support choice
just remember that it is your TROOPS that will win you the game
anything else is just a toy!
WARMASTER of the SCHOLA PROGENIUM Alnwick Chapter (soon to be the world)
it sounds fun to play and fun to play against. its nice to see a different army list for a change.
Warhammer is expensive.
If your plasma cannon on a Dready explodes ( a 1 rolled). What happens??
