Alright. The Chimeras all have extra armor so troops can disembark from a Stunned Chimera. Searchlights so that my russes can hang back and still hammer away, Basilisk to soften up hard targets. I would feel comforatable taking on anything with my HQ except maybe a Tyranid Monstorous Creature. The two plasma pistols with BS 4 will help to thin the enemy ranks before assaulting. My Infantry will advance and do whatever the misiion calls for. The Setinel will distract opponents and ensure reserves show up on time. Carapace Armor will give a save against any personanl sidearm.

"Personal Staff w/ veterans x 4, all with power weapons except standard bearer"

Power wepaons can only be given to Officers, Rough Rider and Storm Tooper Sergeants. Veterans are not Officers.

I'll think of names for my officers and names for tanks once I can get a book on russian or a dictionary. I'm not sure why I want this regiment to be russian in fluff, but it is, so there.

I decided to take ratlings becuase I had extra points and decide they were a better use of my points then a thirty man conscript platoon. I changed the strom trooper squad to grenadeirs so that in tournaments I woudn't get those stupid points taken off for having too many FA, HS, and Elite choices. I only have 3, and three troops choices as well. This will work better than the first one, I think. I see only one weekness. Not tons of AT fire power. Hopefully the russes and lascannon can take care of big threats and if things get to hairy I have three meltagun and plasma guns that can in a pinch be used against lightly armored vehicles.

If you need help with any russian, give me a PM. I did Russian at Uni for a bit...and although I'm not fluent, I know a few words

EDIT : Oh, and I think your army rocks. No idea if it's a "good" IG army, but the idea behind it seems the shiznit....and I'd love to run an army with the russian background fluff. Perhaps we could start our own regiment comrade?

Cool. We could think up fluff and stuff.

So the main thing I want to know for names is could you suggest more thrilling names for a) a regimental nickname b)tanks and Chimeras c) infantry platoons and squads i.e. Squad ______.

    Thanks milkshake.

I guess another question would be, do you want it in the russian alphabet (cryllic) or an english alternative?

And do you want your squads named after people, or things? Do you want small phrases for tanks and such?
