What army invovles the most tactics?

What army do you think involves the most strategy to win a game. I mean like an army that could go to hell if you make one mistake. Ive played SMurfs and Nids for most of my 40k career and I want to play an amry that is a little more fragile than these. Im looking to play an army where if I screw up in my strategy one time it could cause me to lose the entire game.

Dark Eldar or Harlequins are probably the most unforgiving army in 40k.

Then it's Eldar, I guess but not as much as DE or Harlies.

    Harlequins ... yeah. Definitely.

DE are a bit easier to play, IMO.

Besides that ... well. Harlequins are usually outnumbered, outgunned, and have not-the-best saves .... very fragile. But they're never outclassed.

Lost Nemesis, I have to disagree, the Harlies get there invulerable saves, (or did they lose those), and they are deadly in C/C. I would have to say Dark Eldar. I think Harlies and Eldar would be tied for second.

No, harlequins have a cover save. that's it. They wear strobe-lights for armor and therefore have no armor save whatsoever, unless mounted on a jetbike.

Sorry, my mistake. However, in the end, for the most part, they are the same, excepting template weapons and close combat. And they still ROCK in close combat.

    That depends.

If you are using EO rules, they get their cover save and an invulnerable save in CC.

If you are using GW rules, they just get a cover save.

The fact that they are vastly outnumbered almost all the time, only have T3, a 4+ cover save ...... I'd say they fall easier than DE, simply because if you take one Trouper out, that's two or three DE Warriors right there.

Most of the Eldar races require "more" strategy, but in order to really win with any army, you need strategy.

Dark Eldar or Imperial Guard are the two hardest to play.

It's my opinion that Harlequins are a fetish army. This means that it is an army for those people who can't just play a normal eldar army and have fun. No no no, instead these people are obsessed with killer clowns from space and checkered paint jobs consisting of purple, yellow and pink. If that's not a fetish, I don't know what is.

Yes, Harlequin paint jobs will melt your face. Be warned. :p
