What i mean is, what race is best for going up against a different race. Obviously it'll be different because of certain factions within a race but just take it as using a general army type. Below is the list, just copy and paste it, putting what you think is best against it and what is worst:
-Chaos Space Marines
Warning - the following list is sheerly my opinions, so if anyone's bothered enough to argue, it's merely my opinion.
Chaos Space Marines - Eldar
Daemonhunters - Mech Tau
Dark Eldar -
Imperial Guard - Dark Eldar
Necrons - MC Heavy Tyranids
Orks - Necrons
Space Marines - Eldar
Tau - Necrons
Tyranids - Dark Eldar
Witch Hunters - Armoured Company (?)
I agree with the Dark Eldar vs Nids. Tyranids have hard time versus Dark Eldar and also i thing MC Nids can decimate very easy unexperienced Tau players.
MEAT IS MURDER
Daemonhunters tear up Tau, Mech or not. Necrons that can get infiltration, deep struck Monos, and close scarabs, wraiths to close combat have a fair chance against Tau, otherwise I agree. CSM vs Eldar, depends on the craftworld.
Eldar and dark eldar kill space marines, chaos and necrons, (whirlwinds are another matter)

With my Imperial Guard army I can truthfully say that I have never ever lost a game to Tyranids. They are the easiest match up for me to win against and I just plow through them with shooting until there aren't any left.
The whole Synapse deal is what usually gets them in the end, cause if they take only a couple of Synapse creatures then I pound them into dust first, but if they take a lot of Synapse creatures, then I pound the closest/fastest thing first. It works every time.
Orks are the bomb against Deathwing space marines, as long as they can pop the raiders.

Waaugh! Shizgrak Battle Record
Ain't that the truth. I always imagine the proud termies striding onto the battlefield, banners waving... looking towards their doomed foe they see a vast horde of greenskins, rusty choppas glinting. There is dead silence. The Deathwing hear the revered voice of the Brother Captain over their vox pieces: "Bugger!"Originally Posted by Sandhawk03
I also find Orks do well against grey knights. The shrouding doesn't do jack because I'm not shooting long range at em anyway, and see what happens if any of them are silly enough to teleport into the middle of six squads of orks with burnas and power klaws. It's all over very quickly.
Mixed DH not so good, but still OK.
(Assuming 2 equally skilled players)In my opinion:
Sisters of Battle heavy Witch Hunters beat Grey Knight heavy Daemon Hunters
Dark Eldar beat Necrons w/o C'Tan
Necrons w/ C'Tan beat Dark Eldar
Necrons beat infantry heavy Imperial Guard
armor heavy Imperial Guard beat Necrons
Eldar beat "slow" Orks
"fast" Orks beat Eldar

Well, I find that Dark Eldar perform best against space marines and chaos. I'd say necron too, but if my opponent takes a monolith (and knows how to use it), then im pretty much helpless (taking out a lith with lances is nigh unfathomable).
I on the other hand tend to rip the crap out of grey knights armies with my Tau (maybe i just havent played against a good GK player yet).
To be honest, I actually tailor all of my armies to specialize in fighting against SM and CSM (only because that is what 60% of the GT armies you face are...that and i love puting those glory boys in their place )
