I'm a gamer of a couple years and after several armies i am after something new. I want a functional fun army, one that you won't see around very often.
I have collected iron warriors, space orks, tau, and goblins. If anyone has any ideas of armies they would be much appreciated.
Well, getting an army that "not everyone has" depends on the area where you play. I, for instance, have never ever seen a 13th company army at every store I've ever played at. However, I heard of a store near where I played that had three 13th company players.
If I were you, then I would go check out what armies people have where you play and then try to find one that no one is using so that you can help fill that void. That's usually what I do when I go to a new store.
In fact, there's a surprising Space Marine void where I play now, so I play my SM's more than anything else. Imagine that. A store with three IG players, three Eldar players and one damned SM player.
Anyhow, I hope that helps you make your decision.
I have been playing a bit with a friends 13th army, i do pretty well at it and find it a fun army. He doesnt use it anymore, perhaps i might get it off him.
An I.G. force were the main goal is CC?
Well to tell you the truth me and my brother have collected almost every army possible. So the only advice i can give you is IMPERIAL GAURD!There cool, fun to paint, fun to play as and when your playing as them you can almost relate to them because there just the standerd ifantry that is cannon fodder and unlike every other army there is absolutly nothing super power like about them!I mean cant you imagine a little steel legion soldier killing a super enhanced assault space marine in close combat out of pure luck!IT WOULD ROCK!

If you're looking for something you don't see very often I'd recomend Dark Eldar or Kroot Mercenaries. Although Feral Orks or Lost and the Damned might be better for a fun army.
