    Post your VDR(s)!!!

I recently aquired the rules out of the CA book for making VDRs. I'm very interested (obsessed) in creating and constructing some awesome VDRs for my Imp Guard. This thread is about your VDRs. What you've created, what you've built, and even other VDRs you didn't create, but have seen! Share your thoughts people.

    To start us off:

This is a VDR to represent the fast lightly armored jeeps that you see in old WWI and WWII war films. The jeep is used to transport my command squads and spread leadership through my ranks. The weapon on the jeep represents a light machine gun (nice rate of fire, not too strong, and up close and personal). The Twin Linked represents a higher rate of fire than a normal auto gun. What do you guys think?

    Name:Jeep Points/Model: 24pts BS: 3 Front: 10 Side: 9 Rear:9

    Type: Vehicle

    Size: Small

    Speed: Fast

Weapons: Twin-Linked auto guns with Long Barrels

Special Options: Transport 5 models, Open Topped,

    Vehicle Category:
    Fast Attack

Its fast, carries a realistic number of models, not a very effective weapon, but its realistic IMO, its nice and small, and it can get shot down fairly easily (again very realistic of jeeps during the WWII time period).

I'd say allow it to carry 6 models (maybe even 7) to allow the command squad to have an advisor or two

Thats too bad that they didn't let him play, but a gatling heavy bolter is pretty heavy duty for a jeep/hummer w.e. It is stupid when other players don't let you play with your VDRs (except in some cases where people try and powergame VDR) because, personally, I always like a new challange on the battle field. It makes the game more exciting wouldn't you guys agree?

No, its not that we didn't let him use it, we just disagreed that it should have a gatling heavy bolter so he decided that since he can't have a really super cheap awesome heavy weapon of death that he wouldn't do it........ that thing could have had 9 shots..........

Yeah, thats true, but hey if he wants to put a gatling HB on a small vehicle that can be taken out by lasguns, hell I'd let him. Easy victory points!
