Here's the latest go. When I told this guy at the store I was gonna take up necrons he told me that putting in too many destroyers would make it so people don't want to play you any more, so I took some out. And added in a 'lith

    HQ:
    Lord with Orb
    140 pts

    Troops
    11 Necron Warriors
    10 Necron Warriors
    10 Necron Warriors
    10 Necron Warriors

180 poitnts each, 720 points total

    Fast Attack
    3 destroyers
    150 points

    3 destroyers
    150 points

    10 scarabs
    120 points

    Heavy:
    3 heavy destroyers
    195 points

    Monolith
    235 pts

    Tomb Spider
    55 points

Totals: 1848 pts, 62 models, 1vehicle, 51 necrons, phase out at 13, 38 kills needed.

Looks good to me but I don't see the problem with the destroyers. I won't want to play you, but unless there is some sort of prize that I really, really want I won't complain too much. Besides if I can't handle you using more destroyers that's my problem not yours.

Also I have seen people using two lords, for double the res orbs, and also putting a veil of darkness on one. More teloportation is always good.

Very nice list. Very Balanced. You could take out a couple scarab for that invulnerable save on your lord for added durability.

also I run a round with 6 destroyers and never hear a complaint. Though if the opponent plays it right the destroyers aren't there for turn 3...

    good list.

C'tan arnt balenced they are probaly the most unbalenced thing in 40k. Very good and if i played necrons i wouldnt leave home without 1 but there you go.

    at them moment you have

1 HQ = not that large of a crusade one lords will do. BALENCED

40 warriors TROOPS = core of the army. BALENCED

but after this the armys is not ballenced, 3 heavey suport, 3 fast attack if i was you i would take two of these out (1 from each) and pop in 2 elites. this would make the army more balenced and rounded.

OrkSLugga - the man with 1 HQ and 6 troops and 2 heavey suports (see im balenced)

i think if you want to balance it after you have taken your default selection - hq and 2 troops i think, then for every additional unit you take you balance it across all the choices.

So you take, one elite, one troop, one fast, and one heavy and so.

Basically you aren't allowed to have 2 of one type and none of another.

I would try to make room for some Immortals since they will add some more firepower to your force.

    Huh? Where is this rule?

If you are worried about the over load on heavies and fast at the cost of elites, I don't see the problem. Some comments are on how to make this more balanced a list. I don't realy want balance. I want a shooty necron list with hopefuly enough counter charge to tie some units up. Flayed ones would be nice, but they take away shots from the phalanx. Immortals are also nice, but they have less range then the destroyers or heavy destroyers. To make them very useful, I'd need 280 points for a squad of them, and the the points for the VoD. That is almost 350 points right there, which I can't get without tampering with the whole idea of the list. Pariahs are too expensive, and don't help with phase out.

Very nice list. Very Balanced. You could take out a couple scarab for that invulnerable save on your lord for added durability.
Maybe. But I hope that buried in with the 40 warriors, he should be durable enough. I don't see him going off on missions, just staying back to help with wwb, and maybe pick up some chip shots with his staff of light.

Well, except for maybe my brother, that not the point. I do want to find games every once and a while.

Thanks for the responses, how does it sound if I drops some scarabs, the tomb spider, and one heavy destroyer, to add two more regular destroyers, and 8 more warriors? Does the list lose all its counter punch? It'll bump the total necron count up to about 60, a much better number.

I like this list and wouldn't recommend changing it too much. (though I am one of those people known to take the field with 3 Units of destroyers and not much more  )

I would say to drop some scarabs and a Heavy Destroyer, but keep the Tomb Spider because their aritificier ability and the ability to poop out scarabs can become really useful. If you keep the spider with your destroyers, he will take a lot of fire because he's a monstrous creature but hopefully won't be wounded so much. Basically I'm saying drop the other stuff, keep the Tomb Spider, and add 2 Destroyers + 5 warriors.
