Do you recomend the battle for marrage box set if you may not want to play the space marines or the nids.
The battle of macragge box set is pretty good imo, one of the better deals GW offers. for $45 you get the scaled down rule book (the hard back version $50 alone), all the troops it come with, and some terrain... If you allready have the rulebook and don't plan on playing marine or nids there isnt much reason to buy it, but its a pretty good deal if you don't have the main book.
do you have any friends playign because you can just use there book
I like the full size book for my old eyes. It also has special missions that aren't covered in the condensed book.
If you really want a deal, folks are selling the condensed book from the boxed set for pretty cheap on ebay.
RecklessFable's Journey to Mediocrity (Painting an IG army)
I've been addicted to World of Tanks lately and neglecting my IG... But it is so... much... fun!
IMO, Macragge is awesome. you get two armies, 10 marines, 10 termigaunts and 6 genestealers (correct me if im wrong). You get the rule book, some terrain, templates (flamer, small and large templates) and some extra stuff and it only costs $45. All the components alone would costs atleast $100. It's a great deal if u wanna learn to play 40K w/o paying a lot of money.
here in aus its $80..., but its still worth it.
you get everything you need to learn how to play, you can even have small games to learn the rules in practice instead of reading them of paper. whats not to want about it.
i would get it again.
