    It has been my experance witIt has been my experience with Necrons, that most of the time, tomb spiders are not worth taking unless you are using multiple units of immortals, wraiths or destroyers.

    This is for two reasons:

    1 – If you are looking for something that ignores armour saves, Pariahs are ten times better due to a higher weapon skill, higher initiative and a better that average strength, coupled with a warscythe, they will drop anything. But keep them protected as they don’t “I’ll be back?
    2 – The tomb spiders give you your “I’ll be back? back, if it was denied on the grounds of no unit containing the same type of figure being within 6? on the figure in question. Resurrection Orbs, on the other hand kick in if a model was hit by a power weapon in close combat or inflicted instand-death (double strength).
    (Resurrection Orbs & Tomb Spiders abilities in this regard are completely different – Sorry if I’m telling you something that you already know)

    To be honest I’d take either more destroyers or warriors in their place. I’d also give both lords warscythes.

    1. I dont like pariahs cause they die too quick
    2. Tomb spyders make scarabs, are monstrous creatures and are fairly good at cc

    The main problem with tomb spiders is their low WS as they rarely hit, but they hit hard if they do.

    Pariahs can be easily protected using appropriate battle field placement.

    How do you find the scarabs, as I find them fairly average?

    Scarabs are only suppost to be average so that sounds like a good endoursment. They keep unpleasant units busy while you execute the rest of your apponent. Just whatch out for things like GK as they can instant kill scarab bases rendering them much less effective. If you can they are good at holding marine assault squads for a few turns.

    i use scarabs to tie up tanks/heavy units that i dont want firing, so what if i lose a scarab or two, better than letting that hammerhead fire, i thought TombSpyders had low BS not WS
