You cannot have both termi armour and an iron halo, becuase you cannot have 2 invunreble saves (the only exception is the chaplain in terminator armour, becuase he has to have the rozarius). it says the rules for iron halo in the SM codex that any model with terminator armour cannot have this piece of wargear(not quoted)
Back from a long adventure.
.... it's right there in the codex  ...and I missed it...wow. good thing the play test wasn't real games an stuff..eh... Now I get to go and blast an employee at the local store, and a player or 3. I feel like a punk beginner(not a 9 year veteran) but, eh, it happens. Just like the vehicle squadron rules, when someone blasted my 3 LandSpeeder squadron with a 5 Psycannon Purgation squad, the front 2 were side by side(screening the one behind), and he shot down all 3, but in reality, you can only kill squad members that are in line of sight, and seeing how as vehicles block line of sight, it couldn't be shot down, and that happened a lot of times.. So at least you told me before I actually bought the bitz for him. Now He'll be
Force Commander, MC LC, T. Honors, Artificer Armor, Iron Halo.
Not that big of a difference, whaddaya think?
my only real concern is that you spent something like... 500 points or 1/3 of your army on the assault squads and your only real tank busting ability is a good deviation roll, A multimelta, and some powerfists
i'd just like to say a good player with a mass army should pull you apart
and any ig/eldar army with heavy tank support for large numbers of units will take you out ok
sure you have the advantage with drop pods, but i would suggest switching out some of the assault marines for a landspeeder and dreadnought
the squad without jump packs which is- if i guessed right- 200 points- can be switched for a nice lascannon, missile launcher dreadnought at 135 points and a landspeeder with a multimelta on it
this gives you a lot of extra versatility and i think it will be more worth the points
and you can still go all drop pod since the dread and landspeeder are allowed
other than that you've got a good looking list, lots of marines for the points
200pts? no way, it's 240, just like the tac squads. (Remember the extra 25% on every marine, so jump pack guys are 31 and normal are 19. The Only tanks to be afraid of are Defilers, Vindicators, Russes and basilisks, cause they're the only thing I wouldn't get the ignore injury role on. That and Krak Missiles, Lascannons and melta guns. But if someone can kill that many guys when I'm that close to you with a 3+, then a 4+ save, on top of that T4, then I'm not playing in the right area or something. All I need is to get 2 or 3 of those squads into cc and I'm golden against most armies, and with Guard I would deepstrike dangerously close to troops, so I can let them get blasted by ordnance as well. Point well taken though. I'm just trying to do this -armor. any suggestions that would help me out without adding armor would be appreciated, and if there are enough suggestions for armor, then I'll do that too.
