Anyone know where i can get the rules for the Space Wolves or 13th Company as i think its real name is? Normally with these campaigns you can download various rules, any help is appreciated!
Most broken force of 40k? What do you mean? I was just reading through my White Dwarfs, checking out the Lizardmen when i have stumbled across the 13th Company models, i am hooked on their sexyness. With a rumour of a new Codex, i could be locked onto a project here!
Thank you pal!
Veil of darkness is bad enough, but now imagine it with 4 marines with melta guns.
Eerrg... the 13th company models remind me a bit of the dark eldar or men in pantaloons (fantasy battles). They'd look better next to a steam cannon or repeater cross bow.
Either that or with little ribbons in their mangy locks.
Well, you could start collecting some space wolves, they're always a mighty choice anyway. Splice in a chaos helmet, legs and back pack here and there and you're good to go.
I have taken a step back and i think it would be a bad idea to start now, when the new Codex is just around the corner.
But yes, The Gate looks awesome. Im not so sure about their fluff though, possible corrupt Space Marines? I think the 13th Company is just another Traitor Legion, after all they have been in the Eye Of Terror for 10,000 years, corruption is definate!
well.. perhaps this can be better answered by our fluff boys'n'gals, but.. i thought it was more a case of the spac marine boys falling victim to the genetic flaws within their geneseed.
So rather than a case of corruption, it's a case of inevitability.
The chaos backpacks and stuff are simply to represent the stuff they've pulled off Chaos marines to supplement their own armour having been stranded away from the comforts of their battle barge (and lamp posts to pee against).
They're still 'loyal' and 'stoic' despite their foolish appearance. A corrupted legion of them would be an excellent idea though. They think they're still fighting on the side of the corpse, but they've been manipulated by tzeentch and they've been killing their former battle brethren. Also, it's not really applejuice they've been drinking!!
On the subject of thirteenth company, nope they are not traitors nor corrupt. They are the original wolf company that was led by Leman Russ into the eye of terror to combat chaos. After ten thousand years in the material realm, these same marines have managed to fight their way from the eye and have managed to make it back to their imperium.
As far as appearence, the wulfen are what happen to space wolves who are consumed by the canis helix (I believe thats it) and over time when battlefield damage becomes so great, you will have to improvise and thats exactly what the thirteenth company has done. Remember these are marines that will willingly wear the armour of their enemies as long as it is not warped terribly by chaos. (Thirteenth company using enemy armour is the exact same as Guillman nopt destroying the gauntlets of ultramar when he took them from a chaos champion he defeated.)

We are talking about Codex Eye Of Terror.
Yeah i know that their mutation is due to their Geneseed, i just mean that 10,000 years in the Eye Of Terror would corrupt even the most loyal hearts. But obviously not these ones as they retreated to the Cadian Gate to help defend. Arent the 13th Company looking for their Primarch? Leman Russ i believe?
My fluff knowledge is probably highly inaccurate! I must have heard about 5 different versions of the Heresy and defense of Terra.
