    when using a 1000 pt army your hq MUST be a hive tyrant and 3 tyrant guard. this unit is one of the most powerful units in the game and completley destroys even blood angels death company (i know from personal experiance he he he)

    1 ravener is not going to last long at all though so i would not put it in

    do not forget that you do not need opponents concent to use tyranid special characters so make use of them if u wish

    i personally have 9 tyrant guard in my army to guard my 2 tyrants and old one eye himself

    drop the single ravener, or get him some buddies! also I advice strongly to get a HT instead of using warriors as the HQ, warriors are too fragile and HT is much more resisiliant and will rip apart most things in the game. Also i wouldnt give the genestealers the EXCara your just wasting points on things that will die to easy, the 5+ save is still not resisiliant to protect it any mass of firepower, infact i wudnt give them any upgrades at all unless your using the stealers to take down the nightbringer then id suggest implant or talons (but I would still use the stealers as they are awesome in cc). If you loose the Excara it should give you some extra points to get yourself a HT istead of the warriors.

    how the hell can you have 3 broods of guards when there&#39;s only 2 HQ choices you can take

    (2x Tyrants + 2x 3 Guards = max)

    Do Your opponents allow You to constantly field multiple detachments? Just asking because that&#39;s the only way You could get more than 6 Tyrant Guards in a single game.

    I heard the argument of the EC on the genestealers before...I would&#39;ve dropped it if I can find my codex to get the point cost for it and subtract it...
    I will get my HT soon but first I need wings and a red terror model, as a high school student....I really don&#39;t have the money for it right now and would like to get more than to battles under my belt before I expand..
    I just finished constructing the 2nd ravener so that&#39;ll be in the list as well..
    the biovore will have poison mines..but just like the EC I don&#39;t remember the point cost

    Edit: Guards aren&#39;t bad....but they&#39;re too slow for a winged tyrant which will be in CC before the guards get there
