All you need now is a Veteran Sergeant named Rincewind. (Terry Pratchett fans probably get what I'm talking about).
The whole thing looks like a big "What if Terry Pratchett started writing 40k, Discworld style" (or at least in the style of the earlier DW books).
Very funny and ironic, yet... so weird it could actually exist.

I like this chapter, it's just too fun :party2: Here's some ideas for a Librarian:

    Psychic amplifier (wargear)
    - All enemies within may re-roll their psychic test (especially to avoid perils of the warp). Additionally they may double the range of their powers.

    Dramatic failure (psychic power)
    - Once per game, opponents may request that the Librarian use this power for that game turn. Librarian must re-roll all rolls that he succeeded during that turn, be it to hit, to wound, to save etc.

I see the light (special rule)
    - Roll one dice at the start of the game. During the turn indicated by the dice, the Librarian is blessed with a holy vision, supposedly coming from the Emperor. Unfortunately the light is so blindingly bright that he cannot shoot or assault anything further than D6. All units within 6" inches of the Librarian are captivated by his vision and gibberish, and must take a pinning test to avoid standing and doing nothing but watching the Librarian.

Amazing. that was one of the funniest things i've read on this forum.
As I looked at the rules however, I discovered that while at cursory glance the list seems doomed to failure, it's actually not a bad list at all. The ability of dying marines to take a bullet for their comrades means that they are going to have enough survivability to make up for the kills they won't get.

And that Inquisitor is just plain amazing. I want to see that thing. He's the only thing that is actually a killing machine, that pistol is hilarious. And the 'Power' sword is awesome: fuelled by faith alone...

    kudos man- and rep
I am not offering any comments regarding the Banner of the World Dragon at this time. For my thoughts on the situation, please refer to the following scene from vintage film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYiv76qRCkA

That is ABSO-FLIPPIN-LUTELY HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!! The funniest thing I have ever encountered involving Space Marines. Now all you need is orbital bombardments, a.k.a Shield marines who parachute out of thunderhawks thinking that they are actually deepstriking. Little do they know, but their "parachute" is actually filled with explosives, giving the enemy plenty of bang for their buck! you could roll D6 to determine how many marines didn't chicken out at the last moment and then use the rules for ordinace barrage except using small templates instead. They could even be told "that big red spot down there is where you want to land". So that the Big Red Bullseye becomes a homing beacon with scatterdice and d6 rolled to determine where they actually land. "For the EmperAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!....BOOOOOOOM!!!"

You could also have a "Fall over Laughing" rule that replaces doctrines. The enemy commander is laughing so hard at the antics of the shield marines that he is unable to focus on his job, this effectively lowers their strategy rating by 2 (deduct 2 from all deepstiking rolls).

    Hilarious Man! Loved it!
