Equinox is balance. The tipping of the skales so that one side is never in full control. Our hive mind reminds the conglomerate that we are controlled, and we exists as seperate entities because reabsorbing our biomass would make us generally less effective. We have changed our colours, and we have evolved to aid one another. At on time, we were Hive fleet Leviathan and Kraken. At one time we were two, and now the destroyed remanents of two are one. The marines and their tasty lackies the imperial guard have destoyed our glory. We have not consumed the emperium, and we have not grown to our potential, but with renewed strength, Hive fleet Equinox will not be defeated.
Our greatest weakness, our divided opinions of Leviathan and Kraken is also our greatests strength. The broods, allways at each others throats have grown strong and are ever battle ready. Even the scuttling gaunts have developed far past what they normally live to achieve gaining thick scales and vicious weapons. We are united, and strong. We are united to consume the power of the Emperium.
- Tyranids are smart, think about it. But they'll eat you if you bug them.
Dude...do i have to be the first to ask this?
fine. Dude...what is the point of this thread? What is that paragraph you posted, and how does it correlate to anything.
PM me about Aurora Prime Vassal fights! Willing and ready!
....sorry if you misunderstood. This is the fluff for my army, it is a work in progress, and actually, I didn't have enough time when I was originally writing it because I had to leave.
The Hive fleet equinox, my hive fleet, is a combination of the remnants from Kraken and Leviathan. The balance of power is barely held, and the two factions are constantly at one anothers throats. They have not been reabsorbed by the fleet because they are seperated from their hive ships. They are working together of neccesity and have grown strong through competition.
My fleet is composed of intelligent species, and as such is not as suceptible to lack of synapse. This however is not a rule I commonly use because it is overpowered. I just like to think that maybe Nids are not all that bad, maybe they have a reason for assaulting the emperium. It is know that every wave of Tyranids heads straight for the Emperor, and maybe the connected wisdom of all of the hive ships causes them to know what the other races do not, that the Emperor has sold out to the chaos gods and that the primarchs that changed over did only because they had allready made pact to the chaos gods. Perhaps the force that is the Emperor, in all his psychic power, is the real evil of the galaxy. I see my nids as going after the Emperor, to end his evil, even after being splintered from their hive fleet.;? Oh snap, Mr. Flamer

No. Actually the tyranids cannot really be labeled with "intelegence" outside of maybe Lictors, and Genestealers but thats just because they have to remain away from synapse. And as a whole the Hive mind doesnt care about the imperium or chaos or wars its just a predator devouring its prey. Unfortunetly that prey is our galaxy. Its not so much intelegent as it is beyond intelect, its pure and basic instict making it look brilliant. Like its smaller hive ships the tyranids hive mind is pushing its tndrils deep into the heart of our galaxy really terra is just in its way and it will be devoured just like every other planet. Perhaps the tyranids see the further and further it goes in the directio of terra the more and more prey it gets and the more it has to fight. Fighting is good for nids as it speeds up their natural selection process. ya thats all i got to say on that.
2500pts Emperors Children
1000pts Dark Eldar Cabal of Agony Eternal
The Tyranids are stupid? Hell no. Trillions upon trillions of minds linked into one- they'd make even the best humans look like moronic children compared to Einstein.
Especially because in one short story, the hive mind communicates with a Space Wolf Librarian and almost succeeds at convincing him to join the Tyranids (!).
If you think Mathammer doesn't work and dice cannot be predicted, there's a whole field of mathematics called probability that would like to disagree.
