    field police

I was wondering if anyone on here knows about the fluff etc?
I believe they are from rogue trader days?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    dont exist for SM.

For IG it would be a military police unit, but would conform to normal IG stuff

All I can tell you is that yes they do come from the Rogue Trader era and that it was a special position that a marine could hold (like apothacaries or techmarines, etc.) They were pictured on the page with many marines on show their markings. If there was ever any more said about them I know not but I believe that that is all.

this was, presumably, back in the days when marines where still ex-convicts, i presume?

it might be cool to have a chapter that's being watched by the =I=, with the inquisitors having attached special marines from a different chapter to supervise the chapter that's fallen form grace
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

This would do better in the fluff section.

    Thread moved.

OK, so I've flicked through Rogue Trader. Pages 168 & 9 has a picture of 12 chapters of marines (including the much loved Raindow Warriors) the the specialists here are, chaplin, medic and Filed Police! They were a red helment with a diagnoly striped black and yellow vertical line down the centre of their helmet. They also have a symbol but aart from saying it is wavy, red and yellow and with a circle in the centre I can't describe it. However in the description of Marines there is no mention of Field Police or Chaplins so nothing to really go on.

I like Hezu's idea but couldn't you imagine a chapter going all 'Lamenter' and feel that the Marines individual right has been challanged and fight back.
