The skies had darkened with the shapes of silvery moons floating far above. They had come like a steel plague bathing our lands in cold terror and warm death. Our home, Por J'Kaara, known for its many lakes and rivers was besieged by the robotic forces of the Necrontyr and forced us to bathe in the blood of our brethern instead of the cool comforting waters of our world. Steel armoured figures blinked into exsistence and surprized our forces. Many died the first days of our struggle. Word was sent for help from Tau but we were unsure we would be able to defend ourselves for that long. Great pyramids of living metal appeared drifting as upon the breeze into our homes and cities wrecking carnage as it went. Theres was a single purpose, focused on one thing that was beyond us to comprehend nor did we wish to.
For the Greater Good I did don my stealth suit, Shas'vre Por J'Kaara Meps Shas'Kor was ready for battle that first day they came. My battle brothers and I had been running through war time scenarios. Working to hone our skills and challenge each other to be better. When they came, the steel tide crashed upon our shores we did immediately do our armour and weapons and prepared to retaliate. Our home of Tor' Tasuam was under attack. Smoke rings craweled up into the sky from burning buildings. Like ugly tendrils that signified death, drfiting tombstones. I designated my team to engage stealth and follow my lead. I checked coimm channels, as we bounced qucikly towards the scenes of destruction, for information on the counter attack. My team is usually given free range to work within the Tau military plan assisting where we can. No plans came from over the comms system and I could see why as we neared where the dark plumes of smoke emerged. The main tatical center in shambles. They had struck out at us, stabbed us through our heat and mind. I reeled as I saw the destruction of our tatical headquarters. The necron forces laid waste to anything that moved, feelow Tau'n writhed in pain as green light engulfed them and then broke down the flesh of their bodies and stripped them raw. We watched from a roof toop and I decided it was time to make ourselves known. We boosted off the roof and as we fell down upon a squad of machine foes we unleashed a terrible hail of death and destruction. We were as if the sky itself had opened up and rained down fire upon our enemies. Our burst cannons unleashed massive amounts of plasma pulse fire into the robots below us. The armour of the steel ones could not protect them as they were shredded by the firepower brought down upon their heads. Where once they were automated killing machines now were junk not fit for my Pekor systems As we landed the machines tried to repair themselves but we unleashed even more fire into their systems standing above their metallic hides firing round after round into them. Once the robotic bodies were mere puddles of wasted oils and metal we stopped firing.
After asessing the situation it was thought best to continue to pursue our enemies as they continued further into the city. Hopefully we could harrass them until a battle plan would be devised that we could assist with.
With tthat we turned on our jump packs and bounced from roof top to roof top towards where the fighting continued. We would seek vengenance from these metallic beasts and send them back to where they came from.
(To be continued . . . )
