Ive been trying to track down as much fluff as possible about The Black Library and was hoping for some help... all i really know is that it is full of info about chaos.. only harlequins know how to get there (and a few inquisitors that have been takin there underguard by the harlequins). Ultimately I'm hoping to make a Black Library themed army.
i would also appreciate any info about The Solitaire which i have also has trouble finding info about.
Thx in advance for any help!
There is an amazing web site similar to wikipedia but just for all 40k stuff called Lexicanium, here are the links you may need:
Black library: Black Library - Lexicanum
Solitaire: Solitaire - Lexicanum
You will see from reading this that there are also Iluminati who can enter the black library as well.
But just for general fluff this is probably the best site I have come across, you can be reading stuff for hours on it!
wow thanks for that. that will be a great help in the future as well (i always have lots of random fluff questions >.<)
No problems at all! If you are interested in general 40k fluff, that site has awesome stuff about the Golden Throne and the Infinity Gate.
Remember, the Illuminati are not part of the fluff anymore, at least not as they used to be. Back in the old days (ie. about 20 years ago), the Illuminati were a secret organization plotting for the sake of Humanity in the shadows and wanting to have the Emperor reborn. They were stamped out as a Tzeentchian Cult in the 3rd ed. rulebook so the entire Lexicanum article on the Illuminati is not in line with the current fluff.
The Illuminati weren't the tzenitchian cult. That was the star child. They were interrelated, but I don't think that the Illuminati were quashed with the others.
The Illuminati were people who had once been possessed, but had managed to oust their possessor through sheer willpower. The Star Child people were just descendants of the Emperor.
The Illuminati could be a sect of the Inquisition responsible for the Exorcists marine chapter (i cant remember where i heard this however).
PROUD TO BE IN THE BRITISH ARMY.
~~ Surrender and serve me in life, or die and slave for me in death~~
Still, they are not part of the 40k fluff like they used to be. There is no "secret organization" that tries to gather the Sensei/Star Child/Whatever to unite them and give the Emperor new life. That fluff is way to old to be taken as fact now.
True.. Besides, if you wanted someone to fill that niche, you could use the Revivicators, who are way cooler and more in tune with the setting than 'super-possessed-hero team'. But that's just my opinion.
Because having something use your body and mind as a chewtoy and surviving makes you awesome. I'm off to jump in front of a car so I can be awesome too.
