Well we all like Khorne, right? Well some of us don't, *coughgreyknightlooserscough*
but let's ignore them.

What I want to know is How do the marines send the skulls? I can imagine these khorne bersekers lined up in a post office with lots of skulls wrapped in brown paper under their arms. I assume that this is not the answer though.

Is it a metaphorical thing, or does a warp rift open up and suck in the skull?

Does a skull appear on the skull throne when a head is taken in the name of khorne, and the normal skull stay where it was?

its refelctive, i belive that whn a head is taken in the name of khorne it is sent in a blood ritual that would then send it to the warp, this is the smae for slaanesh and souls, its all ritualistic.

Well before they go to sleep at night the Berzerkers tuck the skulls safely away under their pillows so when they go to sleep the Khorne faries will come down and pick them up and leave behind a treat made from the fines baby meat...

Its a metaphore. the skulls dont really make it to khornes throne. they probably just ritualisticly stack them or burn them as a tribute to their god.

That might work, the simple act of killing in the name of Khorne adds a warp-spawned skull (identical to the one just deadified in the real world) to the Throne.

The warp doesn't have matter, so the skulls aren't real.. They're just an illusionary metaphor. I'm sure if Khorne appeared to his champions in a vision they'd be able to find the heads of anyone it might suit them to find (perhaps even hold a conversation with the dead, since those saccrificed to gods remain as part of the greater being) but it's all a big metaphor for saccrifice.. Khorne is empowered by the souls of those killed in his name. Offering the skull ritually secures that saccrifice.

I'd imagine they pile the heads themselves into massive skull monuments to demonstrate their devotion.

Though the skull-fairy is awesome.
