I was reading the new Chaos Daemon codex, and there's a little story in there, "Guardian of the Maze," on page 12, about a girl with a black dog that successfully passes Tzeentch's Nine Gates to ultimate knowledge...or something like that.
Anyone know who the girl is? I was just wondering if the story was based off existing fluff, or just a small joke/homage GW put in the book. The story sounds familiar to me for some reason. Alice in Wonderland? Wizard of Oz? I dunno....I think Tzeentch is getting to me....
Dont know who she was, but I am betting that now she is either a dribbling wreck or a daemon prince(ess?).
But its probably a Wizard of Oz reference. As that film is the only thing less comprehensable than the motives of Tzeentch.
The name refers to facial hair, not playing style.Originally Posted by A news vendor's stand, London, June 1940
Just like everyone else I have no idea who that girl is. Though I would have to agree that she is more than likely a daemon prince(ess) now.Dont know who she was, but I am betting that now she is either a dribbling wreck or a daemon prince(ess?).
For when Khorne wants to "promote" his mortal servants he brings them to his realm to face off with a Bloodthrister, if they suceed in that task they are assumingly promoted to becoming a daemon prince; though any of them rarely survive.
So in turn the maze is Tzeentchs' way of testing those mortals and seeing if they are worthy of daemon hood.
That's my take on it at least.

i dont think shes even a human, it says "in the GUISE of a little girl" she could be any form of creature!!

Ture it doesn't say what "she" was. But is it to far out there to think that a Champion of Tzeentch, changed his or her form into that of a little girl. For even a GDoT can change form at anytime.it says "in the GUISE of a little girl" she could be any form of creature!!
The way that I am thinking is that it is the only way that makes since; a CoT to change to please the Lord of Change to complete the final test to become a DPoT.
If that makes any sense to anyone else.
When the Emperor made his pacts with the chaos gods to secure the power to create the primarchs and ascend to godhood, the gods made him take their tests. The Emperor passed each of the tests, and he passed Tzeentchs in the guise of a little girl so as to make a mockery of its difficulty.
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
I can't say I've seen it all but I live for the things that keep me hollow.
Girls? Mazes? Dogs?
I think David Bowie may be involved.

It was Rork, hence why he always seems to have the answer.:C
Now why he took the test dressed up as a little girl, that I don't know. Nor do I entirely care. We of all people are in no position to judge the hobby's of others ;?.

Rules for grenades are on page 72 of the rulebook.
i was wondering about it to. i think there should be more to it, maybe a novel about it.
its kind of an important event to just throw a random paragraph about it in a codex.
