it says the painted their armor black in shame to become the black legin(sp). but it never says what color it was

If I recall correctly, they used to have grey as the main colour. Better check their I:A though.

According to the Index as i gaze at it now they were a kind of Dull Greeninsh Grey, its hard to Explain, you need to see index.

the colour of the armour is pastely grey, like a wussy colour, because lunar wolves are like sooo boring
