The Zeonic Guard [henceforth known as the ZG] are a new Hunter Cadre recently created to guard the new planets aquired during the war between the Gue'la. Based upon a planet which the Tau designated as "Ze'on" and which the Zeonic Guard are named after, Zeon is a frontier world bordering Imperial space and the Tau from this sept are considered battle-hardened.
Indeed, the ZG itself was formed from remnants of other Cadres to devastated to continue. As there was no time to train new recruits, the Aun decided to merge the remnants into new Cadres to protect the new frontier worlds. Because the remaining units were almost all veterans, all units in the Zeonic Guard are bonded, making the Zeonic Guard the toughest Cadre to date.
The Shas'o of the ZG is known as the "(Enter Name)" by the Imperials due to his lightning fast tactics and strategy and signature bright (Enter Colour) XV8 Crisis suit. Unlike most Shas'o who would pull out of a battle should their carefully prepared plans falter, the "(Enter Name)" can think on his feet and quickly alter his battle plans to fit the situation. This has earned him the respect of other Shas'o although some hardline purists dispise him for not following the tradtional combat doctrines.
Due to the (Enter Name)'s influence, the ZG are a highly mobile force which makes extensive use Pathfinders, Battesuits and Gun Drone Squadrons. FireWarriors will from a firebase around which the more mobile elements of the ZG can execute their plans.
The ZG utilises both the Mont'ka and Kauyon in the same battle. With Kauyon, they will lure the key elements of the enemy into crossfires while they will strike decisively against the weak points using Mont'ka.
I drew the inspiration for this army from the villians of the first ever Gundam series; the Principality of Zeon. I orignally wanted to name my Shas'o "The Red Comet" after Zeon's ace MS pilot Char Aznable
FireWarriors will have thier armour painted Camo Green and undersuit Dark Angels Green with a watered-down Black Ink wash and then dry brush. Bleached Bone will be added to the Camo for highlighting.
Battlesuits will be painted in in roughly the same way as in the Codex. Just replace the browns with Camo Green and the reds with Dark Angels Green. Red Comet's battlesuit will be painted similar to Commander Farsight's battlesuit only in a brighter red, most likely I'll work from Scab Red to Red Gore and then finally Blood Red with each subsequent coat watered down to provide a shading effect.
Kroot will have purple [Warlock or Liche; which ever is darker] with Red Gore beaks and carapace. Weapons will be boltgun metal and for the leather; Snakebite.
I'll be fielding a highly mobile force of Tau. Just like in the ZG's background, I'll use a firebase of FireWarriors around which my Crisis and Stealth teams can work their magic. Becuase Pathfinders are actually more static then they seem [more so with the Rail Rifles] I'll provide a Devilfish for some of the FireWarrior sqauds depending on whether I require more mobile firepowe. I'll only be packing a single team of Broadsides as they are too static. 2 Hammerheads will fill out the rest if the heavy support slots. Standard outfit for vehicles will be Disruption Pod and Decoy Launcher with the Multi-tracker being standard for my Hammerheads as the need to fire on the move.
Orignally I had wanted to paint the battlesuits a different colour from the rest of the army to represent their status but because this was unfluffy I decided against it. I'll be painting my Shas'o a different colour depending on your suggestions (see attached P.S.) I might decide to do his body guards a different colour scheme. Peace out.
P.S. I need a cool nickname for my Shas'o so those anyone have something suitable? It should reflect his tactical preferances and the colour of his battlesuit; things like "Silver Streak" for example. It should also be something the Imperials would use.

It is a cool idea a good name could be "Flash"...
Nah just kidding how about something with Tactica in it (NameTactica) shows that the humans know he's good

Okay, you couldn't stop could you? I have already seen Tau armies with Zeonic names. Paint the Stealth suits like Dom, grey chest, purple arms legs and waist, and black feet have the body guards green and maybe if you redo the paint scheme of Fire warriors like Zeons ground troops, grey from The 8TH team, and have the Zaku...err battle suit body guards green instead, aahh...about the leader. I would have him be White Lightning *snicker* or maybe paint him blue and call him "Rumble Ramba"...just a thought.........................................
Sounds cool. Any idea for their improved stats? Here's a great idea that I just thought up from scratch *ahem* for the shas'o - Kais, or in full, Shas'o Ze'on Kais
about the commanders [I] apreciating the commander for staying to fight instead of retreating. in the codex it says that the tau admire a commander who can recognise when he's beaten and have the sense to retreat. they look on last stands as a lack of creativity.
your corage was great. but you have no reeal purpose for fighting as we have the greater good. - Shas' O' Mien to surrendering gue'la commander
