So this is a world I am going to be writing allot of fiction about, and I am going to have battles and stuff with my friends based on this background. I don't know if there is something I have overlooked or I screwed up somewhere but I thought in might be good to have everyone on LO take a look. And I Think you all might enjoy it.
Dolak is a unassuming planet in the galactic south west, near the Segmentum Solar. It was clensed of a demon worshiping 'civilization' in 316 M38. For the next 1000 years the planet was a quiet agri world, but it suffered an ever increasing rate of mutation. Partially this was due to lax vigilance on the part of the authorities. However mostly a failure to thoroughly purge all traces of the corrupted cities and religious sites of the previous inhabitants was to blame.
In 529 M39 the oppressed mutant underclass rose up and turned on the loyal servants of the Emperor. By the end of the year the continent of Solaria had fallen to the rebels and the governor had been captured and executed. The acting Imperial Commander made an emergency broadcast requesting any available assistance. In response a fledgling chapter of the Adeptus Astartes rerouted to engage the mutant threat. Even before they arrived an entire legion of the Imperial Guard, routed there by servitor error to fight the war to cleanse the planet (Which had been won 1213 years earlier) came in and attempted to quell the insurrection.
Despite the influx of fresh troops the Guard and PDF were largely overwhelmed. When the Astartes arrived they met heavily armed, battle hardened forces. Within 10 years of the initial uprising the last significant forces of Imperial troops on Dolak had been destroyed. But from each force a tiny fraction, a Fighting Remnant, survived. And over the next 2000 years grew in strength and capability.
In 487 M40 the New Imperial Commonwealth made contact with an Imperial scout ship that was examining the system. After learning of the existence of a surviving Imperial force on Dolak the ship departed and filed a report. That report was duly noted, marked, and sent on to Terra. On Terra it was processed through the Imperial Bureaucracy until it reached the sub office dedicated to Dolak. It arived only just in time to prevent the office being disbanded, and instantly changed the offices mission from petitioning for Imperially sponsored structural improvements to begging for a relief force to be dispatched to rescue the embattled Loyalists.
In 909 M40 the Lord Commander Militant of the Imperial Guard heard the planetary representative's plea and agreed to despatch some 4 legions of troops to re-conquer the planet. He was so moved by the dedication of the survivors that he further dispatched several attachés to put in a word with the Chapter Master of the progenitor chapter of the Shattered Crystal's. Around the turn of M41 the combine attack fleet assembled for the War for Dolak. It included a full battle-barge of Sun Hawks, two strike cruisers carrying a company of the Dogs of War, and company of another chapter, the Battle-Cruiser Barquintine, 4 other cruisers with a screen of 10 frigates, the transports of 4 1/4 legions of Guard, and a small fleet of Adeptus Mechanicus Infrastructure transports to rebuild the planets techbase.
The fleet arrived in 319 M41 almost exactly 3003 years after the first conquest. They made contact with The New Imperial Commonwealth and the Shattered Crystal Chapter who had already made respectable inroads into re-conquering the planet. Within 5 years the last of the demon worshiping mutants had been put to the sword. The Shattered Crystal's declared 'Rite of Conquest' with the blessings of their fellow marines and retired to the continent of Solaria. The new administration has proven far more determined and vigilant. The tithes are shipped with regularity, and no further rebellions have been severe enough to trouble the outside authorities. The people of Dolak are ruled by "The Imperial Commonwealth of Dolak" which is a semi-democratic republic with the Shattered Crystal chapter master acting as governor.

good setting written in a true imperial sounding tone plus a liked the common wealth refference
If Slaanesh is the god of the Perverse, why does Nurgle have all the filth?
very nice setting. fits perfectly, and considering all of the other wars going on in the galaxy, i can see how somthing like the uprising could have been over looked by the Mewling fools on terra. but sounds like a nice planet to fight over...
but well written.
If you ever have a large Tyrabug problem drop me a line, and i will bring to bear the forces of the Ordo Xenos to help..
