Belial, dead or alive

I was reading through the ork codex today, looking through the Pisicnia fluff, when i read that Ghazkull and Belial from the Dark Angels had some epic duel and that "ghazkhull all but broke master Belial in two". What exactly does that entail? Is the deathwing master dead?

look at the emperor, even after you are dead you aren't really dead...

yea, he died in a super dramatic way too but it still leaves room for him possibly being alive.

its also GW they write the fluff however it will sell more.
although you can take away from the story as just a story that one orc told to another. how many orcs know belial? how many have seen him? how many will see him?

well im pretty sure if ghazghkull had killed belial, he woulda boasted and bragged about it to the warband. So if an ork did tell and ork that told and ork, that he'd killed im good, then it's true. But and ork never did tell and ork...who told and ork....

See, i had just heard eldrad died, i've never seen any publication on it im not sure if lexicanium counts..

If he was dead it wouldn't list him as the current captain of the 1st company, he'd be the former captain.
I'm also pretty sure somewhere I read 'Was severely wounded by Ghazkul' or something to that effect, in past tense.

the likely answer is no, belial isn't dead.

'ALL BUT broke belial in two' implies that he beat the crap outta him but didn't get to finish him, to me anyway

but dark angels are probably my least favourite chapter...so gooooo ghazkhull
