Many people say that Necrons don't really ally themselves with anybody, but I have an answer. An answer only an Ork could have. This is going to be for a 1000 pt (each person) doubles tournament at my local GW next month. It doesn't really represent an alliance with one Necron faction, so much as the entire race.
A few decades ago or such, Boss Grizgran Grimgor was havin' a good ole' brawl with some of the metal 'eads. Grimgor considered himself a roamer, kruisin' around, lookin' for the best fights. 'E 'ad a few fights the squigly alien boyz, the space boyz, and even fish faces once in a while (although he was loath so, as them fishies can't put up a propa' scrap). These metal ead's blew his favourite wagon to slag, and Grimgor was hellbent on revenge. But as the orks were gaining the upper hand, the Necrons began to phase out. Sour as a rotten lemon, Grizgran picked up his roaming ways yet again. Now whenever he finds the metal 'eads fighting, he temporarily assists them, so when the opposition is gone he can rip them to shreds himself.
Remember, fight like an ork, but never dance like one. Unless thats your thing.
The Immortal Sons of Change (VC): 3-1-1
Sounds like a decent idea. The only real problem I can find with it is that the Necrons would kill the orks was soon as they were within range. If you can find a possible reason why they wouldn't, then there's no reason not to. But also, this game is based for fun, you don't always have to have background fluff.
