After recently purchasing Fire Warrior, i was intrested to here what 40k guns sound like. When i fired the lasgun (40k's finest weapon except autoguns) it made a pathetic sound and had the same visual effect of a laser pen being turned on and off. I was sickened. In the 40k ruke book it says that lasguns make a lbright flash and crac/snap sound. I find this hard tro visualise in my muind and i wonder if anyone has any ideas or sound files to uncover the mystery.
Personally I attribute the crack of a .303 Lee Enfield #4 to a lasrifle.
"It fits like clothes made out of wasps!"
i think it was party to distinguish power of the wepon i mean look at other games MoH or Half-Life the more powerfull guns almost always make louder sounds
like a silenced pistol makes a pathetic tiny sound
while the bazooka makes a big deal of itself
I think its just to help distinguish the diffrent strengths of the guns
and there ya go
When cities burn and armies turn
and flee in disarray,
Cowards will cry 'tis best to fly
and fight another day,
But warriors know it in their marrow when they
die and fall,
It is better to have fought and lost than not have
fought at all.
the keeper of the stuff!
the knower of werty!
the master of the obvious!
its suppossed to be a whining crack according to abnett, butin the comics its a freezchow thing.
Children in the dark cause accidents, accidents in the dark cause childen.
Dont take any indications from FW, the game is completely inaccurate. GW told the programmers to make it that way so that you still have to buy their books and codices to understand anything.
Well, I've never actually read anything that tells me what Lasguns are supposed to sound like, but I've always imagined them making a pathetic little popping sound.

i always thought of the blaster sounds from starwars
If you charge a bunker and die, its called being reckless, but if you charge the bunker and win, it's heroic!
Ive never really thought about that, but i think it could be something like crackin a glow stick.
Yes people i know that my spelling and punctuation is awful but I am product of British teaching pollicies so what can I do about it?
I've always imagined it as a sharp crack and a white snap of light. The red blasts from Firewarrior are very far from that.
I don't imangine it being like blasters from Star Wars because lasguns are rapid fire weapons.. So I think they would have the 'firecracker' sound 'TAKATAKATAKA'!.
i'm thinking star wars!! bam bam!
