Hey everyone, only been lurking a while and this is my first post so sorry if its been covered before.
I've been playing 40k on and off since the second edition. Just been looking through an old catalogue online and noticed an alien called the Ambull. Aside from a brief headshot of an Ambull appearing in the 'other dangerous aliens' section of the 3rd edition fluff I could find no other references to the Ambull.
Is there any canon or background material relating to this strange beasts?

Morning! and Welcome to LO!
I'm sorry I'm not the biggest help, but there is a little bit written about them here: Lexicanum
I'll have a look and see if I can come up with more!...
EDIT: Damn! Beaten to it!...
Ahh thanks guys, so they're more of a wild xenos seen on more than one planet than being affiliated with a particular army or race?
Do any old skoolers remember any rules existing to include these creatures in games? If so in what capacity?
Have to keep my eyes open for the old model, looks like good fun to paint.
If you read the Commisar Cain book mentiond in the Lexicanum article you will read a lot about these Xenos.
PROUD TO BE IN THE BRITISH ARMY.

An old white dwarf had rules for Ambulls as a creature in a scenario for Warhammer Role Play. If I remember correctly they were very tough and strong but not so fast or skillful.
