Ok maybe not the guardsman themselves but what about the senior officers/commissars/junior officers/certain sergeants/stormtroopers
I remember finding a good article with pics on awards for space marines but i find great dificulty finding any for the imperial guard!
Most of the time you can just make them up. Every regiment will have their own medals.

There were 3 mentioned in the old codex, you could even give these to guys with armoury access. Although some were a tad resstricted.
1) Macharian Cross (Officers Only) This was given to guys who are great tactical leaders. It gave you a bit of a deployment advantage.
2) Honorifica Imperialis (1 per Army) These are given to the greatest of heroes and givee them bonuses to their profile.
3) Medallion Crimson This is given to men who fight on regardless of the most gruesome injuries, in game it made them harder to kill.
Hope that helps.

Well, having a look at a BFG book, I see these
- Obscuras Honorifica
- Order of the Gothic Star
- Order of the Knights of Cyprus Mundi
- Bronze Halo
- Seal of Terra
- Seal of Cypra Mundi
- Ebon Ring
- Medallion Crimson
- Order of the Gothic Void Mundanus
- Seal of Mars
- Verifix Majoris
- Justus Observus
- Order of the Terran Star.
The ship they were on was Commisioned on Cyprus Mundi.
Mundanus is used to indicate a non-guard bearer, AFAIK.
Just tack together some dodgy latin and call it a medal.
those BFG ones are more for the Imperial Navy, not the Imperial Guard
Terminator armor going critical would be like Three Mile Island only very, VERY angry, and carrying a hammer.
LO rules in a nutshell: Don't post unit costs, be polite, rep posts containing of win.
True, but they sound pretty good.
And as has been already mentioned, there are probable dozens of various awards, varying from place to place, regiment to regiment. What you WANT is something that sounds good, and authentic. Something Imperial sounding.
