i want to know which one of these you guys think would win.
note: this is purely fluff wise disregard all stats
i start with a vote for the bloodthirster
I have to go with the nightbringer
-The avatar is a fraction of the power of Khaine; Khaine having done battle with many C'tan and having won, but the avatar is a fraction of his power and the nghtbringer is the most powerful C'tan
-The bloodthirster; like the avatar is created from the essence of a god, being a fraction of its power. The nightbringer quite simply is a god, able to do battle with Khorne (he'd lose to Khorne though).
Thenightbringer would win hands down, hell he's being removed from the codx so that he can get a proper STAR VAMPIRE GOD profile.
IG Best Gen 1st overall of 10 DE 4th overall of 6
Eldar 3rd Overall/Best General of 26--2nd Overall/Best General of 7--1st Overall/Best General of 11
I'd have to go with the nightbringer too.
@Bevi4: Why do you think the bloodthirster would win?
However, the nightbringer is not a god. Khaine and Khorne and the other gods (including the Emperor?) are personifications of emotions existing in the warp, the 'emotional' dimension of the universe.
The C'Tan are simply uber-powerful, practically unkillable beings of energy, still part of the material universe just as the light and heat from the stars that they feed on. Their ultimate plan is even to destroy the warp so they don't have to share all those juicy mortals, leaving only the physical universe as their playground.
(If this seems nitpicky to you, remember, this is the fluff forum )
I'd say either bloodthirster or c'tan. Daemon codex says that only the Primarchs were a match to bloodthirsters, and modern Chapter Masters can take out avatars by themselves.
If it came down to it, I'd say bloodthirster. But not just any bloodthirster: An'ggrath the Unbound. He'd SLAUGHTER the nightbringer.
Um, a bloodthirster is made of Warp right. If so the Nightbringer would be at a serious disadvantage. Im pretty sure that a bloodthrister attacking the nightbringer would be like attacking a tree with a flamethrower.
If a Million Guardsmen die, that's a statistic. If one marine dies, that's a tragedy.
The Nightbringer is still in a corporeal shell that can be destroyed, granted the essence of the C'tan would probably still be alive and kicking.
I'd go with the Bloodthirster over the Nightbringer and both over (sadly) the Avatar. As mentioned before, Marneus Calgar killed an Avatar, but killing Bloodthirsters were kind of a Primarch-only deal. And the C'tan in his earthly form sacrifices his ridic. omniscience and could be dispatched.
Well in the current fluff, the Nightbringer is on the brink of starvation, so no where near his full power. In the current state of fluff I'd say a Blood Thirster would win. However when the Nightbringer does reach his full potential I'd think the only ones who could fight him would be the emporer because of his massive psychic potential, or the Outsider.
The Outsider is the C'tan who went insane because of all the other star gods he consumed, whose personality still resonate within him.
SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM
the c'tan are going to destory the warp as its nice food
no warp = no bloodthirst
