I swear I've never seen anything like it.We managed t' track the beast through the alleys and sewage tunnels untill finaly,we reach this old abandoned church on the North side.Once we got in there..well..le's jus' say the beast musta been livin' there for a while. It was horrible, there was bones and dead people all over the place, women and children, all tore up.He had 'em hangin from the walls and cieling like decorations.I tell ya,when I saw the place it made my stomach turn and my blood boil,I was afraid an' angry at the same time, more then I can ever remember bein',it was an' interestin' feelin'.Well anyways we get in there,an' were checkin the place out,an' all of a sudden there's this..horrible howl.Oh it was terrible,it was'n like anything I ever heard. It came from eveywhere at once and filled the inside of your head,it was like a thousand voices screaming all at once, and I couldn't help it..it..it was so terrible..it filled my whole soul with fear. The next thing I knew the beast was on us.I dunno where it came from but by the time I knew what was happenin' it was already tearin' its way through, rippin' boys apart like they was nothin'.We tried to fight back, the ones of us that weren't too afraid, but we couldn't hit it.Jus' lookin' at the thing made it hard to think..I couldn't stop shakin'..I wanted so badly to help meh mates but Emporer help me I was just too scared! I can remember thinkin' "This is it..we're all gonna die and be hung up on this monsters walls like a trophy fish" ,but then e' came strollin' in,this inquisitor fellla, just as calms as if he was walkin' down to road to fetch a carton of milk. The Inquisitor,he just walks on through, his eyes all narrowed and locked onto the beast,an' jus' lookin' at 'im you could feel the hate commin' from inside of 'im.Well This Inquisitor,he statrst pullin' that big sword out of the strap on his back while 'es walkin'and the beast hears 'im and turns to look at 'im.The Inquisitor fella jus' stops there right..and for a second they just kinda stare at eachother, the monster snarlin' and drippin' blood and the Inquisitor jus starin' at him and squeezin on his sword's handle like he was stranglin' it.Then without warnin' the monster howls at him,an' it comes chargin' after the inquisitor fella',swattin' the Echo Company boys outta it's way like they was nothin'.Iono what happned next,it was all too fast to really make out.The monster leapt up at the inquisitor, and there was this flash of movement, both of 'em just kinda dissapeard into a blur for a moment, but I could hear the sound of metal hittin'.Well after a few minutes they both stops movin',and both of them are breathin' pretty heavy now but the monster see...his breathin' is all broken y'know,it jus' was'n normal.Well they go back to starin' at eachother, and they got thier eyes dead locked on eachother.Now..I dunno what it is that was so horrible that it would make a monster like that afraid, but whatever it was was there in that man's eyes, because for jus' a moment, before the beast fell down on it's knees, the thing actualy looked terrified. It was all over soon after that, the monster gos to clucthin' it's stomach and falls to it's knees,an' its then I notice the thing was bleedin' horribly bad about it's stomach. The thing falls down, and starts pantin' and wheezin' and all,and the Inquisitor man, well he just calmly pulls his shotgun out the holder in his back an' points the barrel right between it's eyes..BAM..drops the ***** right there without even flinchin'..and one handed even! I tell you..it was a strangs strange night..but what botheres me most is when he was starin' at that creature.I done a lot of thinkin' on it..a LOT..of thinkin' about that night..but for the life of me I can't figure out what that monster coulda possibly seen in his eyes that made him so afraid.

Wow...nobody? It's either really good or really bad.Guess I should be happy though..either way it's exceptional
The first official records of Jeal Veritte are from an Inquisitorial report on the cleansing of the feudal world "Birall".The planet had been the site of a minor chaos incursion, a cult calling themselves "the Nosfarus" had gained control of the planet, and had been feeding off of the local population for weeks. The first to respond to this threat was an Inquisitorial ship named "the Emperor’s Shadow", the personal ship of Inquisitor Lord Tristan Malkaya. When Malkaya arrived on Birall he found the town around the star port in ruins. Upon investigating the desecrated remains of the city,Malkaya found a small group of survivors huddled in one of the burned out buildings. The leader of the group,a young man of only 13,explained to them they had been hiding out there since the cultists attacked 3 weeks prior. According to the others in their group,Jeal had lead them in counter attacking the chaos forces. They would stalk the cultists in the shadows, isolating small groups at a time and butchering them, always leaving the bodies in obvious places for the other cultists to find. They had been slowly cutting down the chaos forces in the city until they had fled 3 days earlier, having learned of the Inquisitor's arrival.
Impressed by the boy's actions Malkaya decided to take the boy and his friends back to the Shadow with him,and the small group even accompanied him as he and his forces swept across the planet eliminating the chaos forces. It wasn't long before more Imperial forces arrived, and the entire planet was cleansed of the foul chaos taint.Despite orders to eradicate all survivors,Malkaya kept Jeal and his friends alive, stowing them away on the shadow and leaving birall with them on board.Malkaya trained Jeal and his friends in the ways of the Iniquisitor, and they eagerly absorbed everything he taught them.Malkaya recognized in them a deep, burning hatred for the chaos that had robbed them of their families, and he fed this hatred as he trained them.He guided them in refining and perfecting the tactics they had employed to stay alive on Birall. They learned to become one with the shadows,to kill quickly and efficiently without making a sound, and a thousand different ways to strike fear into all those who dared oppose the divine righteousness of the Inquisition. For years he trained his new acolytes, untill eventually the began to accompany him into battle. On the field, when unleashed on the vile heretics they hunted,Jeal and the others were unstoppable. They would stalk their pray for days, herassing them from the shadows, filling tier minds with fear and doubts, letting them know that they would soon pay for the sins in a most unspeakable ways. Those who repented were killed relatively quickly and with a minimal amount of pain. Those that refused the emperor’s light and continued to fight back were brutally slaughtered.
Malkayas prodigies continued to serve as his acolytes for many years.Accomponying him as he went from planet to planet, cleansing worlds of chaos taint and spreading fear of the Emperor’s divine retribution. They became infamous for the cold, brutal way in which they hunted down heretics, and some members of the Inquisition went as far to suggest that they themselves were being influenced by the ruinous powers. It was while investigating the chaos influence in a planetary government that Malkaya met his end. While searching through the halls of the local Administratum for signs of taint, he was assassinated by the minions of the corrupt planetary governer.the governor had sold his soul to the ruinous powers, and Malkaya was close to discovering the truth before he had him executed. Learning of their mentor's death,Jeal and the others lead Malkaya's forces on a siege of the planetary palace. They quickly overwhelmed the local defenses and over ran the palace.Insetad of out right slaughtering the inhabitants they divided their forces and disappeared into the palace. For weeks they lurked through the miles of dark hallways and tunnels, stalking the governor and his men, hunting the traitors, herassing them until they were mad with fear, begging for forgiveness. Eventually the governor gave in, dropping to his knees in his own throne room he cried out for forgiveness.Sobbing like a child he renounced the chaos powers and begged the emperor to save his soul.Almost instantly Jeal was there, stepping out from the shadows and delivering the salvation the governor begged him for.
Since then Jeal has assumed command of his master's ship, stepping up to take his place as an Inquisitor Lord.He leads the forces of the Emperor’s Shadow across the Imperium, hunting down heretics wherever they hide.Jeal and his hunters make every effort to sow fear and panic among those that are trying to hunt. They feel that if a sinner is made to see how terrifying and horrible a life outside the emperor’s light is,they will be more willing to accept his divine judgement.Jeal himself is a very reclusive enigmatic person.Though fiercely loyal to his friends,he is very cold and untrusting of others, and only speaks to people when absolutely necissary. He wears a cloth mask to hide his mouth and lower face, and most often his eyes are hidden by the shadows under his long bangs.Jeal has a talent for remaining remarkably calm not matter the situation, even in the midst of battle he has a knack for remaining focused on what needs to be done.
Repent, and the horrors will end.Continue to resist us,and your nightmare is only just begining.- Inquisitor Lord Jeal Veritte, addressing the leaders of the mutant rebelion on Korhal IV
Hmm..undiscouraged by the lack of comments our hero continues to post chunks of the fluff as they are completed. He will contine to do so untill somebody asks him to stop and greatly hopes somebody has a comment or two..
This one is our SOB Hero...
Deneb Rhobe was born on the planet Berthe, on a small island south of the planet's largest continent. Her mother died giving birth to her, leaving just her and her father living together in their tiny home.Deneb's father was a notorious drunk, and Deneb was horribly abused from the time she was very young. When she was 9 years old the years of abuse had finally broken her down. She laid awake one night, waiting for her father to come creeping into her room, and once he was close enough to the bed, she attacked him with the hammer she had hidden under her pillow.Deneb was small for her age, but despite this she had always been unusually strong, and she managed to kill them man rather quickly, caving the front of his skull in with the hammer. When the overseers of the factory her father worked in came to their home days later to see why he hadn't been at worked,Deneb explained to them that he had simply left and never came back. A thorough search of the home found nothing out of the ordinary, and it was assumed that he had simply fled to avoid the harsh work of the factories. The house was issued to another family, and Deneb, now an orphan, was sent to the nearby convent of the Order of the Steel Rose to be raised by the sisters there and eventually join the ranks of the Adeptus Sororitas.
Deneb excelled at all aspects of monastery life. She immersed herself in the teachings and practices of the order, and became fiercely devoted to the Eccsliarch. She came to see the world outside the monastery as a hell, full of pathetic weak individuals mostly undeserving of the emperor’s benevolence, a belief that wasn't exactly discouraged by the older sisters. She came to think of all men as weak and disgutsing, and felt it was her duty as a sister to protect these sad creatures from their own inherent weakness. She became infamous for the brutal methods she employed in enforcing the emperor’s will, a behavior that was thoroughly encouraged by her superiors.
It wasn't long until Deneb rose to the rank of full Battle Sister, and eagerly left Berthe to spread the divine light of the emperor to all those to weak and mindless to see it on their own. She took part in numerous crusades, her exploits on the field of battle adding to her notoriety and fame. In battle she fought with a fury that bordered on terrifying, channeling the years of anger and hate her father instilled with her towards the enemy and recklessly destroying everything in her path. Her skills allowed her to rise through the ranks quickly, and eventual ended up in command of her own battle company. It was her fierce loyalty and zealous devotion to the Imperial code, along with her more then impressive battle record, that convinced the higher-ups of the Inquisition to select her for greatest mission. There was an Inquisitor named Malkaya who had become increasingly distant and hard to control. He had broken several minor rules and his methods were becoming dangerously extreme.Deneb and the sisters under her command were ordered to accompany Malkaya on his ship "The Emperor’s Shadow" and monitor his behavior.
Facing threats from his superiors, Malkaya had no choice but to agree to the orders, and allowed the Order to stay on his ship and accompany him and his hunters into battle. It was while on this mission that Deneb met a young man named Jeal Veritte, who completely changed her perception of people outside the Order. Despite her usual aversion to males, Deneb and Jeal soon became close friends, both of them recognizing the darker parts of themselves reflected in their new friend. As the Emperor’s Shadow continued to stalk its way through the Imperium, the two grew ever closer. They both fought with the same reckless fury and showed the same fierce devotion to the Emperor on the battlefield, and before long they had become as close as brother and sister, each one refusing to take the field with out the support of the other.
While investigating the rumors of chaos taint in the local government of a planet called Xevec, the Inquisitor Malkaya was slain by the treacherous servants of chaos, leaving the crew of the Shadow without a leader.Deneb was enraged by the Lord's death. She had no personal attachment to the man, but the very fact that a member of the Emperor’s Holy Order was slain by foul chaos scum was enough to make her blood burn. Her plan was to assault the palace and execute the governor using the full force of her sisters, but Jeal objected. He begged her to let him handle the situation how he wanted, and reluctantly she agreed to hold her forces just outside the palace in case Jeal's plan failed .Deneb and her sisters camped outside the palace for days, waiting for some sign from Jeal and his forces, fighting off the occasional pocket of reinforcements that attempted to aid the palace .Finally Deneb grew anxious and decided to take a small group of her sisters into the place to see what had happened to her friend and his men. They moved cautiously through the complex, finding spent shells and the bodies of traitors scattered throughout the halls of the palace, but never any signs of a large battle or Jeal’s hunters. Eventually reaching the Governor’s throne room, Deneb arrived just in time to witness the Governor’s surrender. She was amazed, to see a man so devoted to chaos drop to his knees and beg for forgiveness must have surely been the work of the Emperor himself. Then when she saw Jeal step forward to give the man The Emperor’s Peace, she realized what had happened. To her it seemed that the Emperor must have worked his will through Jeal, she could see no other explination. At that very moment she realized her destiny was to join him on his crusade, to be at his side as he hunted the forces of chaos across the galaxy.
Once news of Malkaya's death reached the Inquisition they felt the threat he posed had mostly dissolved, and relieved Deneb of her task ,deciding that a lower level of survailence was all that was required.Deneb however opted to continue accompanying Jeal and the crew of The Shadow, feeling that the best way for her to serve the Emperor was with Jeal and his hunters, stalking chaos through the darkness of space and showing them the true might of the Emperor’s wrath.

And now the inducted IG part of the army..
The planet Kesla was a large ice world on the Northern edge of Ultima Segmentum, just east of the Ghoul Star cluster. The population of the frozen planet lived in a group of large hive cities scattered across the planets small island continents, each connected by a complex series of tunnels and highways that ran through and over the planets vast ocean. Surprisingly the planet saw very little military action for many centuries. Drifting far from the rest of the Imperium, the planet held no real strategic value and sadly many of the armies that marched against the Imperium felt that the world simply wasn't worth their attention. That was until the vile forces of chaos found their way to the planet.
A large group of ships belonging to a splinter faction of Emperor’s Children space marines stumbled upon the planet, and decided that the inhabitants had gone too long without fearing the shear terror of a chaos invasion. The planet was hit hard and fast, the plague of chaos spreading quickly across the planet and infected nearly half of the population. The marines rampaged across the planet, destroying most and corrupting the rest, until eventually most of the planet had been converted and was worshipping the Lord of Pleasure. Before being completely over run the forces on Kesla still loyal to the Emperor managed to raise a distress call, and within days Imperial forces, lead by a conclave of Ordo Hereticus Inquisitors, rallied to the planet. The ensuing conflict was long and bitter. With very few of the planet's own forces reaming loyal top the Imperium, the reinforcements that arrived were hard pressed to gain a foot hold on the planet. It wasn't until a Black Templar crusade that had been passing by the system responded to the distress call that Imperial forces were able to establish a solid defense on the planet.
While the battle for Kesla raged across its surface, an Inquisitorial ship called The Emperor’s Shadow joined the small fleet that had blockaded the planet just outside of orbit. The commander of the ship identified himself as Jeal Veritte and offered his assistance in liberating the planet. Despite protests from the Black Templar, who were all ready unhappy with the Inquisitorial presence, Jeal was granted authorization to lead his troops onto the planet and join the fighting.
The fighting on Kesla raged for nearly 5 years, the imperial forces slowly burning their way across the planet and eventually eradicating the foul chaos presence. As the reinforcements prepared to leave Kesla and turn control back over to the planetary government, orders came from the Inquisitorial Conclave to eradicate all surviving members of the Kesla military. Given the high percentage of traitors among the Keslan Guard, the Inquisitorial commanders of the campaign felt it would be too risky to leave any of them alive. All non-native Imperial forces were ordered to withdraw, and once key personnel were evacuated, the fleet blockading the planet opened fire, eliminating all life from the planet forever.
Despite the fleet's orders however, the Inquisitor from the Emperor’s shadow had managed to evacuate a small division of the Keslan 112th.While fighting to free the planet, Jeal had met the men, who called themselves the Soul Survivors, held up in an Arbite complex in one of the smaller hive cities. They had been there for weeks, maybe a month, zealously guarding the few civilians they had managed to safe from the onslaught of the chaos hordes. Jeal knew of the fate that was awaiting the brave soldiers of Kesla, and feeling a strong connection between the men of the 112th and himself, he managed to sneak them and the small group of civilian refugees onto the shadow before the bombardment began. After a weel of intense purity tests the Interogators onboard the shadow claimed the survivours to the utterly free of taint, and they were allowed to remain on board.
The Souls Survivors where integrated into the forces already on the Shadow and continue to fight alongside them. They see Jeal as thier savior, and a perfect example of how a member of the Emporer's Holy Order should behave. The entire point of a witch Hunter is to hunt witches, and Jeal does this very efficiently. They admire Jeal for his devotion to the Emporer, and share with him a deep, burning hatred for the forces of chaos that robbed them of thier families and thier homes. For saving thier lives and allowing them continue serving the Emporer they have vowed to follow Jeal wherever he leads them on his hunt across the stars, even into the mouth of Hell.
Into battle! Into hell again!- Battle cry of the Keslan 112th, "Soul Survivors"
