Is there any reference anywhere as to what you would see when a terminator teleports infront of you. Would he litterally just not be there one second and be there the next? Grow out of a spot in mid air? Materialize from the bottom up? Puff of smoke?
The reason for asking is I'm planning on doing an all terminator army and want to model some of them in the process of teleporting in if possible.
As I read they briefly enter the warp, I would think that it is a bit like the Dawn of War style where there is a slight glow or spark and then they appear in another spark somewhere else.
There's a big flash, coruscant blue/purple lightning and special effects, and apparently a big "vwoosh" like air escaping as the atmosphere within the teleport area is removed and replaced with the teleported object.
It's definitely not a puff of smoke.

Come, sons of LO! Kneel before Poodle!
Mr_Wayne: "Some people believe that the World Eaters do not field any ranged weaponry. Those people often die at a distance."
They travel through the warp, so there would be a big old energy discharge as they arrived.. as poodle said, crackley lightning, bright light and wierd distortions of local physics for a few seconds seems likely.
i blue bubble appears and then the terminators apear crouching and butt naked....
I've read that there is an azure blue flash and or shimmering.
Of course if it goes wrong there is an azure blue flash/shimmering and then a heap of hideously distorted flesh writhing about which then bursts, spraying all nearby with messed up gunk.
You could do some Terminators who have been turned inside out to use if anybody has an accident while they are teleporting.
Like most things in the 40k universe it will be a violent and awesome site. In one of the Space wolf novels it is pictured as flash and a pop as the air pressure changes.
The sound is a large Crack of the displaced air, similar to the sound when a bullet passes as the air is distorted (if you have ever been shot at lol), a bullet makes a damn loud noise so i imagin it would be one hell of a crack.
For those of you without that experiance clap your hands together once really hard, times the noise by 3 and thats what it sounds like.
PROUD TO BE IN THE BRITISH ARMY.

Hmm, could be tricky to model. I might have to find something else to make my army a bit different.
