We will not know devotion.
We will know freedom.
We will not protect Mankind.
We will protect ourselves.
We will not wear the shackles of Servitude.
We will break them with Individuality.
We will not die for the Emperor.
We will live for our Brotherhood.
-- Daily Chant in the Hall of Grimgirth
Recently developing from the fringe systems near the Eye of Terror, the Brotherhood of Grimgirth, rebellious Space Marines who abandoned their duty when ordered to a suicide mission to defend a forge world against a massive Tyranid fleet, was once a devoted Chapter that operated in secrecy deeper than the High Lords of Terra would have liked.
Led by Grimgirth Ironside, a long-bearded Space Marine who once threaded his purity seals through it's graying locks, the Brotherhood has fled the main reach of the Imperium by hiding out on huge battlecruisers filled with the remnants of the once celebrated Space Marine Chapter known as the Brotherhood of Piety.
A charismatic and independent leader, Grimgirth inspired the lot of his men to forsake their pledges and to flee the bondage of servitude and sacrifice. Along with his council of Librarians, Grimgirth gained the support of most of his brothers, leaving those that resisted on their home base, (Grimgirth would not spill the blood of his brother, even if they abandoned his decesion.)
Not as evil at heart as some Chaos Lords, Grimgirth bears the Mark of Chaos Undivided to strengthen himself and his men so that they may yet survive to watch the Imperium fall. His Librarians, now Sorcerors who worship Tzeenetch, constantly struggle to overthrow Grimgirth and his devoted followers, the Chaos Space Marines who, eventually, dedicate themselves to either Tzeenetch or Slaanesh.
All that matters to Grimgirth is freedom and the right to life unfetted by the Imperium, the Chaos Gods or the Xenos. Knowing that this goal is nay impossible, Grimgirth will wage war against all of these forces at once, be them on either axis, so that he may live his dream.... or die striving for it.
Every whisper of the future from the Warp speaks of a hundred battles lost, a thousand lives devoured and a million enemies born. -- Inquisitor Lord Babel
Feh..you took my idea >.<
Needless to say I like the concept.I've been trying to work on how I'm gonna do my evetual Chaos Army.I want them to be Independent from both Chaos and the Imperium.I may just steal some of your ideas :shifty:
Thats a cool idea I had it myself too and thought about making my army like independant and fight for themselves but that would'nt really go with my armies fluff wise (nids lol.), but my other army is daemonhunters but that wouldn't be right they are like bonded to the emperor to serve him for all eternity.
Why would you want to live to serve, to fight, and to die, why not be fight for your freedom instead.
FOR FREEDOM, FOR HONOUR, FOR BLOOD
