After reading the last HH book "First Heretic" I began to contemplate what the Primarchs truely are. I'm unsure if this is a previously posted topic.
From what I can tell each Primarch is a separate aspect of the Emperor as a whole. Positive and negative aspects. my opinion is that the two "forgotten" Primarchs were truly negative aspects of the Emperor personified and which they felt required purging. For instance you could say Logar is the emperors zeal, Fulgrim his vanity, Gulliman his martial prowess and Horous his ambition. Wondering if anyone else has anything pertaining to this subject that might help me understand the Emperor and his son's more?
As far as we can see his good aspects waged on his bad aspects but the main factor that caused division and a bringing out of the negative factors was his "ambition" aka Horous. Ambition can be good or bad depending on how its directed. the Chaos gods turned it for the bad which brought the negative aspects to the fore.
This is all conjecture and here say on my part so anyone else's opinions I'd like to hear.
"Reached under the bed and pulled out a Converse and a beer, I appear to of developed the miraculous power to turn shoes into beer!.... or beer into shoes." - Fallen Autarch after St. Patricks day.
That's an interesting thought... i guess it could explain why the chapters differ in style...
But i haven't read enough of the background to comment further
WORSHIP THE VINDICATOR!!! (And a Drop Pod full of Combie-Melta Sternguard never hurts either)
I wish i did, though the word around town says that Black Library books need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Though the revelations in the First Heretic are interesting and ask alot of questions. They delve into a previous 'dark" chapter of the 40k universe. I think the book revealed more about the 2 lost primarchs than any other amount of fluff previously did.
though I do agree with the aspects of the emperor thought you have. Hopefully someone else will have more answers
Repainting Orks not sure how many points yet
Warriors of Chaos shelved until further notice
Conjecture is all anybody has; there is no fluff anywhere about the missing Primarchs beyond their existence, if that's even the right term. The best guess I've heard is that one of them is Sigmar of WHFB fame but there's no evidence to be cited. This is all conjecture and here say on my part so anyone else's opinions I'd like to hear.
"My tanks have names, my men have numbers." -Col. Edmund Grahvess, 23rd Kronecker Prison Guard
Andy Chamber's old Validictors were a 1st founding chapter until retconned
There are also mentions in a few Black Library books about 'Primarch' Rubinek and the Iron Hearts chapter.
