When a ship enters real space from warp travel a massive warp hole or rift opens up which the ship leaves.
Well would it be like this in the eye? Or would a ship just travel regularly?
as an example, if someone was looking through a telescope on a world in the eye, and a ship appeared in system, would it just start as a small dot before getting progressively bigger or would it appear someway else?

I think I've heard a few desciptions of ships leaving warpspace. Basically it is like a big black hole and the ship comes out.
I do remember in one of the Tyranid codexes it descibed the destuction of an Imperial ship that triggered it's warp drives in the middle of a Hive fleet. It said that a black sphere surrounded the ship. I imagine this means the sphere will either come out from the hull of the ship or wrap around it. The blackness then shrinks or vanishes and the ship is gone. Ships probably exit the warp in much the same way.
