i'm starting a new modelling project.
can anyone tell me the colours and weaponry that the knights of caliban had whilst they were still...knights. im sure i read somewhere about them having crude bolt pistols?
Here's the link out to Lexicanum, a Wiki for just about all things WH40k - especially Marine related.
The Order - Lexicanum
To summarize however, the Knights of Caliban wore an early form of power armor (not Space Marine, black-carapace enhanced armor, more like Inquisitor armor). They would dull this armor, or simply paint it black (in dulled form, I would imagine that it was a steely color). They had the option of wearing white surcoats. Their heraldry was a downward pointing sword, but not a winged sword.
The wings comes from the Ravenwing, a subsect of the Order who patrolled the forest boundaries of Caliban and would later be inducted to hunt the fallen. They had the honor of wearing winged helmets.
Their weapons were simple, but not crude. They had projectile weapons, not las-weapons, some of which were similar to early bolt weapons. Their swords and lances were traditional, or chain weapons (no power weapons or las-lances like the Guard).
Hope this helps you out.
it does. im doing ravenwing using brettonians.
due to 2 things, i enjoy playing ravenwing, and i have a load of brettonians
The codex also clearly states that the bolt pistol and the chainsword were the defacto weapons of the knights of caliban.
Praise be to the Emperor!!
