In an earlier topic there was quite a debate upon if humanity was a creation of the Old Ones or not. However on page 9 of Codex Necrons I found the answer
"the lesser creations of the Old Ones such as the mon keigh" however it goes on to say that they did develop in unseen ways, so Bawdymonkey it looks like we were both right but on different things.
It took me a while to find Codex Necrons.
Most interesting. Which page and version?
sorry to butt in and give my two cents but newho.....
i think that even though it may state that in the necron codex, it is still subject to scrutiny because it is coming from a source that others do not see as true. it is possible that any race can claim the creation for another simply out of thier wanting to present themselves as "all powerful" or ancient.
*ducks behind keyboard*
i guess that if the necrons would really want others to fear them and to take thier harvesting seriously, then they would present such claims to make them seem like the rightful heirs of the universe because the created some of the races within!

ya you better fear...
i think your wrong man, just cause the other races may seem like they want to be all powerfull doesnt mean that they would be as dishonorable as to falsify something like that, not every race is like the imperium you know...

Just a note
Mon-Keigh = Relates to any non-Eldar species that they see as needing elimination, such as humans, but humans are the common translation for this Eldar term. This is the word given to any race which is in need of extermination or deemed inferior to the Eldar in any way.
so when they say mon keigh, it doesnt necesarly mean human
but it could be ork, human, marine necron or whatever
Cresistauead = Human in the eldar tongue
Too be more accurate didn't mon-keigh mean 'vermin' ?

Well I am disturbed and amused by the fact that we were once "Comical tree beasts". I thought we were a bit too... mammal to evolve from trees. Makes sence for the cute little orksies though. All green, stupid, hard and sappy.
Necron will stand for eternity.Their race has survived aeons by trading their very souls for metal bodies. Now, they will live on through eternity and will vanquish all life from our universe. For they are Necron. Flesh is weak. The machine will rise!
Comical tree-beasts as in Beasts who live in trees (monkeys/apes), not beasts who evolved from trees.
And Ugluk, it is not being claimed that the Necrons created Humans, but that the Old Ones (The Necrontyr's enemy, no longer extant) did.
Greetings from Planet X, I hope you enjoy your day.

would one say that the old ones are not extinct??
i mean, who created the necrons...and why? i know that this isnt a necron fluff thread but bare with me.
say i created a new type of sandwich. it is big and quite delicious. everyone else wants to copy it or eat it. but i dont let them. then they kill me so that they can eat my sandwich and also wipe out any other sandwich out there so that thiers is the only one which they will ultimatly eat themselves.
this quite retarted metaphor is how i feel about the necrons. i believe that regardless of what "myths" that old races may concur is simply just that: myths.
