IT says that there were 20 marine chapters 2 begin and 10 turned to chaos and only 8 were on the side of the imperium what happened 2 the other 2 marine chapters and who were they. or is this a GW way of making new marine armies i know that its not grey knights but just who were they??????? plz help

GW has never ever, EVER said what the two missing legions are so there is no information whatsoever on them.

It is known what the other two chapters are. They are player designable chapters. They are left open for a reason, so people have the option of making up their own. Just like how chaos has minor chaos gods, that way people can custom make their own, and be happy.

yeah but this is different, the two that were left out are still legion sized since their is nothing saying they followed bobs codex. so that kinda rules out that custom option right their, plus if you can make them than that means we still have two primarchs that can be fielded.
how come everyone seems to call chaos legions chapters, and the same with the above two legions; its been bugging me to the point were i need an answer...

I don't know enough about SM to know the difference. But the thing is, I really don't care, because I loathe SM. But, in any case they are just being left open, incase Games Workshop decideds to make new legions.

Um..how's that rule out the custom option?If they've been missing since before the Heresy,that gives you almost unlimited customability.They've been on thier own away from the Imperium for thousands of years, almost anything is justifyable if you write the fluff for it.Hell I even once figured out how to make a liegon of female marines somewhat valid using the old "They're one of the Lost Liegons" approach.

As far as calling Chaos marines chapter's it's probably just because we're so used to sayin "space marine chapters".Plus the old chaos liegons have long since broken up into bands and factions,so I don't think you could really call them liegons anymore either.

Yes, there are. But one would either have to make fluff for them being dead/instasis or alive and a daemon prince/minor chaos power. The concept of them still being alive is just silly. They'd probubly be dead due to age anyway.
