i never made an official name for them, but i used the DA rules, based them on a sub-group like redemption and vengence.
=The Un-Tarnished Angels=
Only 50 years before the birth of the Horus Heresy, the Dark Angels sent a small force out into the warp to conquer new territory, the rebel planet Nyfallus, was cut off from the rest of the world for 900 years, waiting of word from the Imperium, the Angel squad maintained a hold on the planet, under constant attack from the creatures of the warp, losing their head Librarian, Brother Ahmedez in a fatal insurgence of his will, the marines were left leaderless in a frightening new world, lead only by Captain Marthis, they kept a vigilant hold of Nyfallus.
Many moons passed, the marines were hailed as gods by the human inhabitants on the planet as those who saved them from the evils, regaining the people's trust in the ruling emporer. The marines finally got a crackly transmission out to The Rock, getting a response almost immediatly, the answer was a confused one, saying that since the heresy all reports of this squad were lost. "Heresy?" asked Brother Marthis, "what heresy?" What he heard next caused him to break down knowing that he failed his God in the protection of Him, he swore an oath to destroy those of his beloved brothers who defected, known as the "Fallen". They called theirselves the Un-tarnished Angels, for after the 900 year struggle with the warp, they had become completely resistant to the horrors of chaos and the lure of darkness, unlike those many who joined Horus in rebellion of the Immortal Emporer.
hope you liked my stroy on my guys, they are standard-issue DA green, with red gore left legs and opposite shoulder pad of the same colour.
FOR THE EMPORER!!
And they have been hunting the Fallen ever since?
If they were a part of the Dark Angels Legion, why were they not reabsorbed into the newl Dark Angels chapter, or one of its successor chapters? Were they so independant (both in terms of identity, but also in terms of support infrastructure)
I suppose that they could have developed a new identity in 900 years, but that isn't much more than one generation for Marines, so I think you need to isolate them for longer (perhaps 2 or 3 millenia) and give them a more divergent identity.Thats pretty extreme. I thought the Grey Knights were the only ones who were completely resistant. Perhaps your should write:had become completely resistant to the horrors of chaos and the lure of darkness
"had become innured to the horrors of chaos and the lure of darkness"
My secret, shameful desire is a three Ordo army...
(I know I'm bad...)
Yea, the GKs are the onl ones that are completely resistant to the Warp because it is part of the training and selection process. I think it would be feasable to say that your marines hae known the warp for so long that they are very likely to spot any tricks that it's denziens want to play on the marines. This way it's saying that they aren't immune to the effects, but they can see them comming and find ways to avoid them. Otherwise I like it a lot
I like the fluff. It would certainly suck to be isolated for a few millenia and then get a call from your brothers telling you that half of them betrayed you.
ll "hi yeah you missed a lot, funny thing actually half our brothers turned traitor and the emporer is basicly dead. missed you bye!"
we're not running, we're attacking in another direction!
-Call Of Duty 2
nah its more like: "oh, 19th company, well, ummm, i'll just check with the supervisor, well this is strange, we can't seem to find you on our files, i'm sure if you lodge a complaint with us your response will be followed up as quickly as possible *que hold music*"
FOR THE EMPORER!!
The color makes no sense before the heresy the dark angles were completely black. Did they really have time to paint their armour.
You can never have to many pairs of socks
Sure he's something but hes no bowl of special k
I really like this, it'd put a great spin on the whole Dark Angels chapter- there's so much we don't know about them, and this is really useful for writing fluff- you've done this really well, and I commend you!
Well done anyhow- maybe needs a little polish- like why they didn't know about the heresy (it's a pretty big story and marines can communicate over vast distances) but otherwise, I can see no major plotholes, seems pretty neat.

Hmmm..it is an interesting idea, but you should explain why they are told about the Heresy and the Fallen. Afaik only members of the Deathwing are introduced into the real history of the DA, apart from them, no one knows.
Humanitas dominatus omnis, de iam dum terminus aetas
actually, as the codex states, the true DA members will know some of their secrets, whilst the more higher up you are, the more you know about their dark past
FOR THE EMPORER!!
